It's also because filoni doesn't want to dilute an already good written story of heir to the Empire. So we might see Luke in the future. Depending if Disney accept this or if the higher up of Lucas films would be okay with it.

Thrawn's assumption isn't necessarily wrong he's seen both Anakin and Vader, so he knows firsthand how badly the dark side can twist a person while he's off base with Ashoka it's from a place of knowledge.

I think the greatest problem is miscommunication. The biggest Trawn's error if you are right is that Ahsoka is not Anakin of Clone Wars and either she is not Vader 2.0 at all. He underestimate not her power but her personality. Completely. And he also underestimate her capabilities to return. If she wants to return. Unlike Ezra she has a vehicle and unlike Trawn himself her vehicle is small. And she can also establish a communication with Ezra and with perguils. He is not so clever as he pretends to be.

Some people are saying that Ahsoka may turn to the dark side. I really hope this doesn't happen because that will be too much like Anakin's story arch; we don't need to keep retelling that storyline. Ahsoka is her own character.

Ahsoka has more power now. When she was in the world between worlds her training with Anakin was complete. Also she has the power of the Daughter. Even Thrawn is a bad guy… I liked what he called Ahsoka. A Jedi Ronin.

What's interesting, is: If Thrawn believes The Apprentice Of Anakin Skywalker/Lord Darth Vader is extremely dangerous, WHAT will he think, when he finds out that The Son and Daughter Of Anakin Skywalker are both strong in The Force, and were major figures in the toppling of The Empire, and one of them is creating a New Jedi Order?

I think of it this way. The Jedi Thrawn knows best are Kanan and Ezra, but he also knew Anakin well. Thrawn knew that Anakin Skywalker as a Jedi far surpasses Ezra and Kanan in power, skills, and intelligence. Yet even with this, Ezra was able to defeat him almost single-handedly, a fact that he mentions in Ahsoka and as shown by his attitude of not underestimating the Jedi. Now he finds out that Ahsoka was the Padawan of Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars. Ahsoka has more power and had a much better training regime than Ezra did. If Ezra Bridger was able to single-handedly defeat Thrawn, then what is Ahsoka, who is wiser and stronger, capable of? That is a risk that Thrawn should not gamble with, especially knowing that Ahsoka would operate similarly to how Anakin would.

It's a fair and good analysis. Ahsoka creates variables Thrawn cannot control. She also exhibits the same tenacity as her master. Thrawn additionally sees her as a threat whether Ahsoka remains a Jedi or follows in the footsteps of her master and is corrupted by the Dark Side. From Thrawn's conversation with Ahsoka, I think he believes Ahsoka will turn to the Dark Side and this really terrifies Thrawn. More so, than if she remained faithful to the Light Side.

I want Disney to make a Star Wars What If so bad. In the Vader comics at the end he’s making his red lightsaber and he gets an illusion in his mind that he failed making the red light saber and realized the terrible things he did and basically went to find padme and apologize and turn against sidious. That comic run was so good. That book is canon but that illusion vision part was so interesting. I would love to see a what if for Star Wars. Seeing small changes in the timeline seeing what they could become, like what if Anakin never turned to the dark and went on to join the rebels and fight sidious

Agree. Perhaps a little therapy could be worked into it. I grieved the whole series after meeting little Anakin and Padme. I grieved so the apparent blindness of the Jedi Council. How is constant negativity helpful? Show positive choices. Do not give the excuse that "whatever: is.preordained, not the result of discipline and sacrifice....

The fact that she was able to decimate those troops, already beaten Morgan once and have made crazier force jumps than the distance shown in that last shot I’m more questioning if she let Thrawn get away or did Dave Filoni. Oh so basically, you didn't actually pay attention to either Rebels or Ahsoka... because... there is literally no moment where he "wants revenge" Everything thrawn says and does is him talking about bringing order and stability to the galaxy, serving *his* ideal of the empire even from peridia. Then again, it appears that people are just hating on starwars projects of late, even the good ones, just to hate on them because ruining other's enjoyment, even with complete falsehoods like your's, is more fun than just enjoying the show for what it is. If he really "wants revenge" you need to back that claim up.

Is this not the problem with styles of government in general. A Totalitarian government is the best and most successful type. But with a massive and very dangerous caveat. You need a good strong leader with there counties interests at heart ❤️ you get this your golden , you don’t you get a Stalin and Hitler. Democracy is the safest option but has severe weaknesses. Thrawn could have made the Galaxy a better place , in my opinion would have been best. The problem would come with who takes over after him ? That’s the danger of totalitarian governments

It's worth pointing out that Thrawn left behind all of the Force wielders except Ezra, although Thrawn didn't know about him, and the Great Mothers. The Great Mothers may end up biting him in the ass. It is going to be interesting to see how he reacts to dealing with Luke and Leia. Dealing with Anakin's Apprentice is one thing, dealing with his son and daughter is a whole different ball game.

I think he knows about Luke. When he saw that anakin was her master, he asked Enoch if ahsoka was indeed the only Jedi approaching, looking really nervous. He might have known that was Anakin’s son, and he might have known he went into a room with palpatine and his father and was the only one to leave alive.

I understand Thrawn's thinking but he's wrong. Ahsoka is similar but VERY different than Anakin. She's more stable,has different history,Barris betrayal tought her so much too. She was essential part of the Rebellion too. I think the galaxy is safer with Ahsoka as Jedi Ronin,but not just on Peridia. May the Force be with you too

The Empire of the Hand is interesting it's decentralized (allowing systems to continue with whatever they're doing societal and governance wise prior to joining) and centralized (Thrawn is in charge of all military affairs and requires taxes and other resources to be funneled to it) at the same time.

Honestly what I would kinda like to see is the new movie be a trilogy and we can the second movie end as Empire Strikes Back. Have a twist where thrawn kills someone in the ghost crew(most likely Sabine) which puts Ashoka on a rampage to kill thrawn. The second movie would end with her reaching thrawn and realizing that she is the only one who can protect everyone and she will tap into her connection with the daughter and become more powerful. The third movie would be Ashoka as an antagonist and Luke, Ezra and grogu all fight Ashoka and kill her. She isn’t in the sequels so could be a way to end her character. I don’t think this is going to happen but could be cool I think

Yeah this assessment of Thrawn is accurate. In the Hand of Thrawn duology (legends) a couple of imperials basically create a bs Thrawn with an actor in make up and Gilad Pelaeon figures it out and states flat out that Thrawn wasn't Vengeful, he was a strategist.
