To think there was some guy nicknamed Tiger that saved Earl's life on numerous occasions that ended up starving to death in a concentration camp and that Tiger would of never existed without him. All of us have people at different places in life to help us along - no one does anything alone.
He couldve easily played the victim card telling his story when he was 4, but no.. he just chose to accept reality & use it as motivation. That is mental strength, that mentality will get you further in life.

@brett -- i read in Golf Digest and they went into details how he became Tiger was really emotional and sad for the original Vietnamese Tiger. The original Tiger died of a heart attack due to starvation in one of those bamboo gulags in Vietnam after the communist took over. The elder Wood's heart was broken so bad bc he took many years looking for the original Tiger and the man broke down and cried for days after finding his friend died of starvation.
98 was a weird year for him he was in the middle of a swing change and didt win anything that year but he got so much better even tho he wasn’t winnging

I don't understand why we're still talking about Tiger Woods. He was famous for his incredible golf ability, but he hasn't been a lead contender for quite a while now. He is just an ordinary American who has made some poor choices in his life. Enough already!
He's not an ordinary American, he's arguably the greatest golfer in the history of the world. Even if he's not the same golfer that he used to be that doesn't mean he's still not going to be talked about a lot. Because of his accomplishments and his greatness he'll be talked about for many decades to come.
