I met one family member from one of the oldest richest families in the world and he was an old gentleman and frankly while I respect his legacy but will never try to follow his style if there's one to start with , calling natural elegance after old money only is just a myth , you can be a solid middle class person and still look extremely elegant, it's all about simplicity, quality material and craftsmanship and finally knowing which style fits you best .
Gracias Vlad.
Looking forward to a video where you suggest more brands that stand for quality and durability but aren't that famous like Loro Piana. Love the video, keep up the good work !
You’re the person I needed, I love the old money look and feel the exact way about clothing, it should be an investment in your style, not just extreme prices or poorly made cheaps
Good on you for mentioning Private White! Recently discovered them and they are now one of my fave outerwear brands. Picked up a Harrington in green and the linen field jacket in navy. Can't wait to see what they release in their A/W 2023 Collection❤
Hi Vlad, I don’t know what it is about your content but I always find them incredibly insightful. And you can’t produce enough of it for me. Keep them coming.
Hey Vlad, I too am a suit specialist who frequents Savile Row for work (based in Soho). Couldn't agree more.! So many people who are fresh to personal style and menswear are charging in seeking Loro Piana purely due to wanting to emulate those who are truly old money. Do you mind me asking if you frequent any particular places for work or events.? Either way, hope to catch you sometime in the future, like next years Concours on the row amongst other future events. Many Thanks
I was not pleased with much of what I saw at Loro Piana, the gross rounded pockets on the polos and sheer/see-through t-shirts. They wanted to try to sell me a jacket for a trip that was in a very warm climate, and so I definitely was not up for purchasing a coat. And, at Brunello Cucinelli, the fit of their polo was “okay” not great and the Salesperson was not at all helpful, just hovering about. I much prefer the style and fit of Pal Zileri and Luca Faloni. Still a bit “pricey” but I don’t see the need to spend $1,000+ for something that just looks “okay”.
hello there. I am a person from PRC😁 allow me to share with you some reasons ppl here will spend fortune on luxury brands even with one of the most highest taxes rate in PRC. 1, most ppl don't know they pay taxes to government directly in PRC, and government do whatever they want with taxes money. they believe they pay all the price-tag-money to the company. 2, most ppl don't know the value & price relationships here, they don't have etiquette knowledge about materials, craftsmanship, manufacturing, so they have no ideas about value. but they do know the price obviously, ridiculous high price means prestige to them. 3, most ppl don't know about wealth allocation, they just enjoy spending most of their money. actually the answer list will go on, it's really complex
@@EnduringAttire yeah, hope all the human beings can live in a better world🙏 PRC need some historical movements like the Renaissance and the Enlightenment. Sadly PRC don’t have Ancient Greek philosophy
Why is Zegna, Loro Piana, Cucinelli, even Berluti successful today; one word - marketing. Unfortunately, the brands that are in the middle, even on the same spectrum as Zegna/LP/BC will be overshadowed by brands with a ton of money for marketing that are of worse quality.
How many of these brands like Loro Piana, Brioni, Brunelo Cucinelli etc you knew before this year? I guess you did not. Because just wealthy people wear it and it is not widely marketed, unlike Luis Vitton, Balenciaga, Gucci...
He is totally correct. But...ok sports wear I do lp. Otherwise I buy bespoke. Shirts are g Inglese..suits. Denis frison or sartoria Chiaia or I've done some other rubinacci London house etc. but bro. LP makes great casual wear and trainers. The baby cashmere is great. But point twken
