You can, the fan vote is intended to be biased. The coach and player vote was to get those who they felt truly deserved it, but it has been abused over the years.

All star voting been like this since 2017. So when Trae made it as a starter it was under this format. Gil just wrong. In 2020 when he was a starter he was 3rd in fan vote, 2nd in media, 3rd for players. 2022 2nd in fan, 2nd in media, 3rd in players. So really media carried him in 2020 because if it was just fan vote he wouldn’t have been starter in 2020 based off what Gil is saying.

Trae is extremely overrated. He's the same player every single year...high volmue shooter that hasnt increased his defense AT ALL in the last 5 years. Year after year, if you REALLY watch his game...he barely and rarely finishes with his left...always a step back 3...or if he drives its the same right hand floater or lob. His ppg number's are fine and all in this inflated scroring era...but he hasnt improved at all in the 5 years to the point where its noticeable. A small frame guard who will forever in his career be a liability on defense. Who cares if he averages over 25 when he cant get his team over 500. Imo its the same ish over and over with him.
