Pac was a real one man I remember when he first came home from jail me and my dad met him at some Mexican restaurant I guess he was celebrating getting out of jail but he was down to earth and spoke to everyone
The fact that he died over 20 years ago and we're still talking about him shows his level of impact. My man's is smiling down knowing the importance he has on the rap game.
What kills me is how they neva talk about how he noticed how broke he was in the last week of his life and that's why David Kenner(The lawyer for Deathrow Records) was fired as Tupac's lawyer but that's the part they neva talk about 🙄...
He never lived long enough to collect royalties from his albums with Death Row,it takes at least a year from the time you put out the record or records. But he did leave some sizable debts,Suge made sure he reminded him of that, that's why he took over Death Row East.
That`s not true because Pac`s contract was set up for him to get advance payments at a certain date. He did not have a regular contract with DeathRow. That is why Pac moms was able to sue and get a settlement and take control of Pac`s estate. Don`t listen to people like Napolean, Danny Boy and others who say other wise. Those guys i believe either don`t know what their talking about or are playing Gate Keeper for DeathRow for what ever reason. Either they are being paid to lie or to afraid for their life to tell the truth. People that was affiliated with DeathRow who did not go by the script died suspiciously like 2 of Pac`s bodyguards. Pac`s mom is more credible because she actually talked to Pac and is loyal to him.
Were gonna keep being broke and mislead if we keep that goofy mentality. Developing Generationanl wealth is a MUST learn the lesson from this. Watch ya Money, Watch the people who can benefit off you. Be a better steward than those that came before you 😂.
There are two names that will NEVER DIE in music and pop culture; That's Michael Jackson and TUPAC SHAKUR. The fact they stay in the loop of many convos long after their passing is astounding. It's sad that Biggie and Prince don't get mentioned as much these days. I love them too.
I would not call him broke when he died. He had financial problems on a bigger scale than the average person but this man was not average and it does not seem that his problems were insurmountable 😊. There was much ahead of Tupac, had he lived.
I can remember how much CDS cost back in the late 90s(2 disc sets were well over $20) and if Death Row received at least 50% of that profit then, 5 mil is just a drop in the bucket. They owed him.
Let this man rest in peace .. every other week somebody got something to say about Tupac now .. where was all talking when this man was still alive ? Let the dead sleep and be at peace
Our young black stars must learn how to get themselves straight before they pass. All of us do! His mother really helped maintain his legacy. With everything she was able to do for his estate, there should have been safeguards to prevent it from getting into the wrong hands after her own death. Someone betrayed her and it ended up in the wrongs hands. May God forever be pleased with them both.
True but that to us fans. That doesn't benefit his family unfortunately. As a artist and business man. I'm sure he would want his family financially good before making us talk bout him for decades
We ALL die broke despite the money we are entitled to when we are alive. Pac is definitely the GOAT of rapping in opinion. I still listen to his music almost 30 years after his passing.
Regarding this video, really mind blowing how much in debt Tupac was in during this time. Thankfully his Mom took care of everything after Tupac died, but it's unfortunate it came to that.
@@KedarScott Baseless statement. Do you know how many legends died broke? The money they have or don’t have when they pass doesn’t have an effect on the work they’ve done in their careers
He didn’t die broke he had $100,000.00 in the bank with $50,000.00 in his pocket still owning his publishing. He did not die with what he would have had.
I believe pac dying soo young has alot to do with why people are obsessed with him just imagine if he had another 10 years worth of life what more could he have accomplished
@@dwaynejpeterkinHe is not the “Elvis” of rap because Elvis was nothing but a culture vulture and he stole black artists style. I would say that Tupac is the MICHAEL JACKSON of rap if anything
@@megamafiarecords No, that's only because of the sick mindset that some of us tend to have not to mention the fact that some of us aren't financially literate.
This is abit misleading, He owed his label $4.2 Million. Back then, you did not get your first royalty check from your album until 6 months after the release date. Ironically 6 months after the February 13th release of All Eyez on Me was his exact death date of September 13th. At the time All eyez on Me was 6x Platinum and grossed close to $60 million minimum retail value (More closely to $100 million as it was a double cd priced at $19.99). Hence why Afeni sued for $17 million from the royalties of All eyez On Me. But 2pac did NOT die broke.
@@deman19901 He was in prison serving his time. Interscope wouldn't give him his royalties for Me Against the World. It took Suge and David Kenner to persuade Interscope to release the money. David Kenner was also the lawyer who filed the appeal to get Pac out of prison.
@@dagreenhousefx The royalties weren't there 🤡. So therefore PAC WAS BROKE. He was BROKE in jail and he was BROKE when he got out of jail. That's why everything was in Suge's name. Pac was BROKE. It's been well documented. FACTS over your little FEELINGS.
Yeah the video tone was wack but hopefully this inspires people especially in the entertainment industry to always check your business and financial situation at all times
@@megamafiarecordslook at this dude, talking about paying bills like a good slave to the system. There's more to life than paying taxes and bills and making ✡️'s richer.
This definitely lets you know how important it is to draw up a will in the events of your demise that is sad to hear how they took complete advantage of him even after death glad he had the kinda mother he had to get the ball rolling in his name #RipTheGoat #Tupac
Tupac and John Singleton are proof that we all need TRUSTS.. not wills. Sometimes, shiiii happens, and you do NOT die. The battles begin before people even take their last breaths in these cases. A trust puts someone you TRUST in charge from day one... not after the plug is pulled. Thank God I was my mom's only child. Because get siblings are RUTHLESS! My Black People, look into A LIVING TRUST! ❤❤❤
Also, even before Death Row, the amount of money he had to throw out to lawyers gor legal fees and subsidising his extended family contributed to his lack of financial health.
EVERYBODY dies broke! You can’t take it with you! Put some respect on PACS name! He still accomplished way more dead then most of these rappers has done alive!
Money comes and goes but the name lives on...is what I wanna say but these talented people need people around them that are just as gifted and competent (and trustworthy/morally inclined) in law and money managing. If Tupac had a Tupac lawyer and Tupac money manager, imagine the difference.
You sign a contract with a record label called “ Death Row “, what you think the end results gonna be! Damn sure wasn’t a highway to heaven 🧐 Fame & money is not the answer to salvation 😢
Tupacs aim wasn’t about money like today’s rappers or Jay Z etc! Pac had deeper message than Money. He didn’t die broke either! He left a huge estate behind.
What goes over people’s head is he was not done with that rape case. Sugar knight paid his bail fee he was still going back to prison if did not beat the rape case. I think dying was the better option. 2pac says he would rather die than go back to prison. Watch his prison interview he says do not come to jail this is not the spot do whatever you can to avoid prison 😮
I think 2pac signed with death row records out of quick desperation; because he really wanted to get out of jail in 1995. If i were in his position; i would have gotten my own lawyer to review the fine print of the business contract before signing. Only then i would make legit millions to billions before my death and after my death to create generational wealth 🤑 for my wife and children. Comedy Hype is the greatest. Great educational video .
I see a lot of people mouthing off about not caring, but this serves as a warning to other people. Write a will. Keep your finances in order so that your loved ones aren’t stuck in a hole 🕳️ of debt, and that you ain’t being screwed.
Richie Rich told the story how they were driving rich car with white interior. He got out the car and put bbq all over the seats and Pac told him nicca I’ll buy another one. Money was made money was spent.
Awesome video 2Pac is the greatest of all time that new documentary on him and his murder is a very very dope documentary highly recommend it to everybody
The day 2Pac was shot one of the outlawz said 2Pac had $10,000 cash in his pocket. Checking my information it was said Suge Knight would give 2Pac an allowance $5,000 a week. REST IN PARADISE 2PAC. 🐐
Give Suge his credit due because that’s the only reason he supposedly died broke everything went through him the release of Tupac the Diamond album made through death row, if he would’ve kept his composure that fatal night he would’ve cleared at least 55 million after all the death row fees and got a record company death row east in his own right so please let that man rest and give suge his just due.
The estate of Tupac should have been treated differently even after he and his mother passed away. The estate of Bob Marley has a cannabis line, his old home turned into a museum, a coffee brand, etc., Pac should be at the same level. Although Tupac did not own anything, he is our Elvis Presley and I was saddened when his performing arts center closed.
*Can the man rest? Everyday there is a think piece, debate, or a praise about him. Truth is he was very toxic, problematic and unhinged that played a major part in his death which led to Biggie becoming collateral damage.*
