Tj made two HUGE shots in the last two minutes of game 3 of the Boston series. After Carlisle put him back in the Game when Boston got it to within 3 Pacers immediately pushed the lead back up to 7. Pacers entire 18 point lead evaporated with Tj off the court. Both Tj and Mcconnel gave the Pacers every opportunity to win that Game. Been saying on Locked on Pacers for over two years now in the comment section that TJ and Brunson have the most heart in the entire NBA. TJ is A for real Samurai Warrior/Ninja. He's an undersized Viking sans the Beard. If He was in the military hed have A medal of honor and would be leading the troops during A War. You can tell TJ BIGTIME rubbed off on Nembhardt as far as being absolutely fearless and indifferent to the name on the back of the opposing players jersey. Nembhardt was already built like that anyway, but TJ''s efficiency and productivity on the court unquestionably instilled confidence in Nembhardt

This is when you should start contemplating trading TJ at the peak of his value. If you could get late first-round picks from contenders, that's a win. I wish we could keep all of them and that they can all have the ball but the Pacers are contending and the roster will become more and more expensive. The team must force development out of Sheppard, Jarace, and whatever IJAX has in the tank. You have a wealth of guards and already know who your first 7 players are. You'll have three picks in this draft (all seconds, but still), picks in 2025, and possibly more.

I think we should have Raptors sign & trade Bruce Brown for the amount of Jarace contract of 6, or 6.3 mil. Give them Jarace and we get Brown, the 31st and our own 26th 1st back. Sign Naji Marshall for 7 to 8 mil. NOP were a +8.5 with him on the court. Solid all around player at 6'7 SF/SG. I think we will end up resigning Obi around no more than 12.5mil. Because I think that's as much as a team would offer and we could match. If we had the 31st and the 36. We could get a really good SF and PG/SG. I think AJ Johnson at 19 as big of a guard he is. With his player comp being a Jamal Crawford type could develop into a great player in a few year's. Idk where he will go, probably too early. But he's a player I started liking late, once I discovered him. If Terrance Shannon is there at 36, we should take him. Idk if I'd take Dillon Jones or not. I wouldn't mind at all if we had two picks close around there, because I like his game. But we do need a SF. I've seen some mocks have Enrique Freeman higher into the 1st rd and then some not even have him in the top 40 to 50. I like Enrique Freeman, best all around player defensively. More inside, defender, but has a promising 3pt shot and looks good. Did great in the combine, quick and mobile. Switchable and that's important.. Jaylen Wells another nice 6'8 SF prospect, not sure how great his D is. But he looks as if he could improve a lot all the way around. Has great shot mechanics, needs to improve his handle more to attack better. I'd love to take KJ Simpson, Jamal Shead, McCullar would be awesome. Or even Newton as a late guard pick. That way we can trade McConnell and get off his contract. Get draft capital and let Nembhard take over. Give our new draft PG time. I just think it's time to move on from him. We could also sign Kessler Edwards on a minimum, or even better if we traded McConnell now for cap space. We would then have enough to offer Andre Drummond the 9ish mil he will demand.

Trade Jarace for Bruce Brown, the 31st and our 26th 1st back and like a TOR 28th 1st(prot., or a swap). Sign Naji Marshall for 8 mil. Draft a SF like a Terrance Shannon, a PG like AJ Johnson, KJ Simpson, or Jamal Shead. Trade TJ for Picks and sign Drummond with TJ's Cap Space of 9 mil.
@LockedOnPacers
@LockedOnPacers 8 дней назад
That's an illegal trade and dumb with the Raptors. They don't just get 9 mil of cap space by moving TJ. All of this is not possible, lol.
@warlockmagic3416
@warlockmagic3416 8 дней назад
@@LockedOnPacersthey could trade him for someone. Not just picks alone. What would be dumb, would be not signing anyone. Which is what they will most likely do.
@warlockmagic3416
@warlockmagic3416 8 дней назад
Whether or not they had enough to sign Drummond. They should be able to at least sign Marshall. Walker most likely won't be able to play SF. Not quick enough on Defense. Which funny enough is what they drafted him for. His exceptional defense lol.
@warlockmagic3416
@warlockmagic3416 8 дней назад
Their plan is probably to let Obi walk, keep Walker and stay under the tax every year. Then over pay a guy like Pascal to pretend like they're trying to compete for something. Despite the exact details of the TOR trade bs being legal wasn't exactly thought out. Which is why I guess that was "dumb." They could sign Brown in FA if his PO is dropped. Doubt he'd cost that much. Whether or not they could afford all those guy's I doubt it. It was more of the idea of the kinds of player's and moves I'd be trying to make going into this season. Doesn't all have to happen in the off-season. They could surely afford to sign Marshall. My point was if they retain Obi, they should trade Walker. While McConnell is great and all, the best time to trade him would be at some point this season. I guess I was also dumb last season when everyone was saying Nesmith would fall out of the rotation. When I said he should be starting, or getting at least all the reserve minutes. Dumb when I said Jalen Smith would be the backup C option the beginning of last year too. It's whatever though, I've never been one to care what someone thinks.

If Jackson or Mathurin or almoist any Pacer player not named Tyrese or Nembhardt had a bad 5 minute stretch in ONE game that'd be all She talks about. Tyrese shot under 20 percent from 3 for a 25-30 game stretch to close the season and couldn't make a 3 against the Bucks to save his life but that gets zero mention and She lets him off the hook saying it was his hamstring or back. Any other player on the roster not named Haliburton or Nembhardt had a game 1 4th quarter collapse/meltdown against Boston that'd be literally all She would talk about and would chastise and make a mockery of them. I'm definitely team Tyrese too but you can't pick and choose who you put on blast and who you don't

@@clytnjmsYou’re picking and choosing what you want to listen to. I talked about the EOG execution for both of them when it happened. I talked about Tyrese’s slump and all of the factors that contributed to it when it happened. The two of us literally talked about that during this podcast. This is broad strokes - the clips and numbers that summarize this season or what comes next. That’s what guided our conversation, not some weird perceived bias.

Got to love Caitlin. She'll berate and chastise A pacers player for A 5-10 minute stretch during ONE game and somehow try to box that said player in to Him being that player in essence and define Him by it, BUT Tyrese was THE reason Pacers lost 5-6 games AT LEAST after the all star break. He shot under 20 percent from 3 for a 25-30 game stretch to close the season and had absolutely BRUTAL turnovers after the all star break in the 4th quarters like He did both the Knicks and the Celtics series in the during the playoffs. If any other Pacer player had a 4th quarter collapse like Tyrese did agaist Boston game 1 that is literally ALL She would talk about. Since it was Tyrese it doesnt even get mentioned. And She cant let him off the hook with the injury excuse because She said game 7 of the knicks series He finally looked heakthy. That epic/collapse/meltdown against Boston happened AFTER that game 7 knicks series. If Mathurin had a 4th quarter meltdown like Tyrese did She would mention it EVRRY podcast from then on out regardless of topic. Tyrese had A REAL bad stretch in the 2nd half. He shot 36 percent from 3 not 40 percent. He couldnt buy A 3 for over a 25-30 game stretch in the 2nd half. He was also abysmal from 3 the first playoff series against the Bucks. But i could care less about any of that when the team makes the eastern conference finals his FIRST NBA playoff series ever. But You cant pick and choose who You put on blast and who you dont. She actively searches for something negative fo say about Tj but Tyrese's BRUTAL 2nd half of season doesnt even get mentioned. If Your on the Pacers roster and You deliver An eastern conference finals appearance your pretty much talked about positive from there on out. I cant think of one former Pacer player from the 1990s teams that is talked negative about to this day.

Neither Haliburton nor McConnell were my assignment for this episode. I wrote my own blog and had my own video series during the playoffs, in which my co-host and I discussed what role Tyrese played in the EOG execution against Boston. I also recorded podcasts and wrote about Tyrese's slump to close the season and what contributed to it, along with his defense. As for Mathurin, again, I wrote probably five individual articles about him during the season -- including his standout performances against Milwaukee and Detroit. As for my comment about McConnell at the end of Game 3, go look at how he was defended at the end of that game and how they adjusted to used him at the end of Game 4. It was completely different -- which was my point. All three of these players were very good last season. Don't really understand this reaction, at all. Have a good day.
