Why U.S. Inflation Could Get Worse Under a Trump Presidency 

Its so strange how many average folks shill for corporations. Why can't people see that corporate greed was out of control 20 years ago, let alone now?

Same with many products besides food too, the corporations get excessive tax breaks, and still that's enough for them, they have to give us lower quality products, less of it at jacked up prices. They are biting the hands that made them rich and they don't care.

Listen man, it’s both. Raising taxes causes corporations to raise prices to make up the difference. Quit raising taxes, spending money recklessly and care about your country. Maybe then you’ll see prices go down.

You’re both right and wrong. On the republican end, it’s stupid to assume that rising costs are just because of democrats and their policies. On the democrat end, it’s stupid to assume that prices are rising just because companies are raising prices. The value of the dollar is plummeting and it’s an incredibly complex situation that can’t be diluted down to “other side bad, our side good.” Both sides have their respective problems and neither side has an answer that will fix our debt, only measures to improve our economy in areas that each side prefers. To address your point though, that’s not how companies work. When all companies in a competing area of business raise their prices, at least one of them will lower them to attract more customers. It’s basic stuff here. The only way that doesn’t happen is if they all conspire to raise them and trust that not a single one will back down, hoping that all of them will receive the same amount of customers as the other to stay afloat. If this is the case, voting will not change anything. Action must be taken via boycotts or the dismantling of the businesses by other means until they submit.

Yep, because companies can control fuel and energy prices 🙄. The same doughnut 4 years ago was cheaper to produce then it dose now. They have to either sell more or charge more and a lot of people are buying less so you figure out what they have to do...

Have the margins gone up? Companies have to stick to a certain margin so when you make it more expensive to do business they make more profits.

I’m not pro Trump, but he already put tariffs on Chinese goods. You know what happened? It affected the factory I work at. Now parts from my factory have to be sent to Canada, then assembled more, then sent to China to get around the tariffs.
