Democracy Now interviewed climate scientist, Ruth Cerezo-Mota, the other day, in which they discussed some of Sheinbaum's climate/environmental failures while she was a mayor. You should see about getting Ruth on the show -- actual pro-working-class journalists should always be looking for the critics of the wealthy-class & their puppets. If Sheinbaum is just going to be another moderate-RW, Capitalist puppet (like the moderate-RW, Capitalist, Democrat politicians are), she should just go away and have intercourse with herself (like the moderate-RW, Capitalist, Democrat politicians should). 100% It’s so frustrating whenever anything regarding Mexico is covered (even something lighthearted or non-political) in a video or article because there will always surely be a ton of (usually) right-leaning people from the US who feel compelled to tear down the country in every way possible. I myself am also from the US but am also of Mexican descent as my parents were from Mexico originally. It’s like, I get it. Mexico has many issues and it’s in no way perfect. But these people need to realize that a strong Mexico means a stronger US as our two economies are strongly linked.

Sadly the Mexican economy is very integrated with the US (as they talked about here) and US/foreign investment is important for keeping the unemployment rate low and economy healthy. The peso just lost 10% of its value against the dollar in the past couple days, so there is a need to reassure investors as much as we may hate them lol. No one wants the economy to crash

For sure, Sheinbaum is perhaps the most intellectually qualified of all leaders globally to hold the office of the presidency. My hope is that her wit will keep U.S interference at bay, while continuing to court investment and economic growth to a point where Mexico can stand on its own financially, which will help Mexico reassert its sovereignty. Not just USA she studied at one of the best universities in Mexico UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico) a public research institution that focuses both on teaching and research, is ranked number one in Mexico and also ranks highly in the world. Most of her education is in Mexico.

Para su maestría y doctorado (también en la UNAM), estudió ingeniería energética y realizó su investigación doctoral en el Laboratorio Nacional Lawrence Berkeley en Berkeley, California, Estados Unidos. Su tesis comparó las tendencias del consumo de energía en México con las de otros países industrializados. Sheinbaum regresó a la UNAM como miembro de la facultad de ingeniería en 1995.Mucha gente de Mexico se va a estudiar al extranjero. Tambien ay extranjero que viene a Mexico a estudiar por ejemplo LA Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez. Es muy tipico. Depende de que tipo programas tienem y aveces es un intercambio de cultura por medio del intercambio de estudiantes internacionales. Es MUY COMUN. No es raro.

Claudia is Mexican. She was born there and so were her parents. Mexico is a diverse society and most Mexicans clearly regard her 100% as one of their own. As they should.

Exactly 😢 people who know nothing about Mexican politics are applauding this just coz she's a woman. I live in Mexico and fear the insecurity/crime/violence/impunity problems are only going to get worse 😢
