I think military is a big percentage of America’s overall GDP. There’s little consumer commerce going on. Very little consumer choices, it’s all controlled by big monopolies. There’s really no night time commerce because it’s too dangerous to be out at night. I always wondered why U.S. has the largest GDP because there’s really little business transactions and not much consumer choices unlike other parts of the world where commerce is happening 24 by 7.

US has been funding wars before WW2 hence the lend lease act it was created to help boost the economy during the depression years. People often forget that that arms aid to other country doesn't means where air dropping millions or billions of dollar to other country we send our store weapons that nears it's expiration (weapons has expiration date too) then of course we need to replace that stored weapons we send that's when we use the money aid (basically that tax dollar we send are going to used to create more weapons or to fund new research for brand new weapons so the money never leaves the shore of the US it's self feeding fire). Thats the summary of weapons industrial complex metal gear explained it before US don't create wars but it funds it.
With regards to US policy, American interest come first like any other country. To do otherwise is foolish. The US is perfect and made many mistakes, but one must also look at the bigger picture. America has spent lots of treasures and lost many of its citizens in the interest of world order. the US could have chosen isolationism, withdrawing from global engagements and focusing solely on domestic interests but doing so would embolden roque countries to just do whatever they want without fear of consequences. Imagine Taiwan and the Philippines without US support, chinese flags would be flying there by tomorrow. SoKor without US support will turn to wasteland long ago by NoKor and Ukraine and the rest of Europe will become part of putins new empire for sure.
