Thank you for reaching out! Each of our masks will come with two F1 active carbon filters that block 99.9% of particulates down to .1 micron. In this way, each of our masks will have the same filtration capabilities. Likewise, each of our masks is interchangeable with our F1, F2, and F3 filters. The F2 and F3 filters have the same filtration rate but with easier breathing. Our High Flow filters (F2 and F3) give you the option of either having an active carbon layer (the F3's) or not having one (The F2's). These High Flow filters allow greater air exchange and easier breathing when you have labored breathing or are doing strenuous activity while wearing the mask. Active carbon will be needed to filter fumes, odors, and smoke. The main difference in the masks is the material they are made of and the back-strap style. The mask that suites you best will depend on personal preference and your environment. The M1 neoprene mask will provide insulation while the M2 and M2.5 mesh mask will keep you cool. Our M2 single strap mask will be quick and convenient to get on and off if you want to do so frequently whereas the M2.5 dual strap will be the most comfortable for long periods of wear and provide the greatest range of motion in the neck.
