Damn that track looks awesome! Honestly on any dirt I’d not have much knowledge on true tires performance. I’ll say this, the driver is amazing! And clearly knows that car well!
Thanks for sharing M8 👍 I'd never heard of long wear tyres until now, and the test track conditions aren't all that dissimilar to where I am. Keep up the great work M8 👍
Great Vid ! Thanks for putting the temperature into °c as well (it helps for those on the European Continent :) :) ) Oh, great cooling system for the car by the way :) :) :)
Wow, you just weared down those long wear tires in ~8 minutes and 40 seconds as much as I weared down the stock micro pin tires on my Wltoys 144001 1/14 buggy in 9 months! Granted, I drive a LOT more conservatively and more slowly and I run in a lot better conditions, but still, wow!
As an MTBer (mountain biker), and someone who's built a coupke pretty small trails, and features, I know the work that goes into dirt jumps and trails/tracks (in this case), and it KILLS me to see the RC track that dry, to the point where it's all cracked and hardened by the sun.
i like the Tire storage compartments, where can i get some of them? (preferable EU) I use sealable plastic bags for now, but your method seems much better! also thanks for the great comparison and eplanation when to use what tire compound.
Yes, this tire bag is great! It's the ProTek bag that includes the tubes and it's available for 1/10 and 1/8: www.amainhobbies.com/protek-rc-1-8-buggy-tire-bag-w-storage-tubes-ptk-8106/p-qqqeqsrqgzzwqctz -Brett
They sure love to flame out in high outdoor temps! Come to Las Vegas and race when it's 110*F out. It's a race of who can just finish without a breakdown! 🤣🤣
Question. Since the tires are not pneumatic, is it possible to use different foam inserts to change dynamic resistance to the tread face? Your test was identical foam inserts.
Could you guys maybe make a video on how to paint an rc car body? I would find it very useful, especially if you showed how to do it without any special materials.
Long wear aren’t nearly as sticky, and last longer due to the compound being harder. Short life will give you far better sticky and grip, yet last much shorter. I learned this on real cars the hard way. Hence why I’d drive on soft tread on my performance cars, BMWs, and an older Porsche I had way back.
Yes I did like this type of video as well only wish to shower able to give a few other brands to try. Well lets be honest I guess there's only jconcepts and then mega corp that owns all the other ones. But I'd still like to see how they stacked up on the long wears. That kind of stuff kind of sway you when you go to spending your hard-earned money on it.
This video was about comparing standard compounds vs. long wear compounds. Comparing all the different brands would be cool but that can be pretty time consuming, expensive and would only apply to that track and those conditions. So, really, not that practical.
I didn't say buy every single tire and compare them I was just talking about the long wears from each brand which wouldn't be that long of a list if you thought about it and it wouldnt make 4 hours of video or cost $2 million as you're referring so it was just an idea and throwing it out there!! But I'm glad the internet police got a hold of me and let me know that I was reaching. Hahaha , just teasing. 🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀
@@bluecrabnitroracing4499 my comment was aimed at your "lets be honest, there's only Jconcepts and mega corp "horizon" that owns the others "aka and proline". I just pointed out there are allot of options that arnt the big three brands.
Because LiPo's included with cars inquire a fee when shipped, and a vehicle is shipped many times; from the manufacturer to the distributor; from the distributor to the hobby shop; from the hobby shop to the customer. That is three times the shipment is charged an extra fee because of the LiPo battery. Another thing is most r/c people have their own batteries and don't want to pay extra for a car because it includes a battery they do not want. Hope that explains it. -Brett
Those top brand tyres are expensive here in my country. So having to buy multiple set is a no no. Luckily there's some pretty decent local brand but not as good as this unfortunately
@@TheNamesArif I just got in to the hobby and the tires that I have got for the arrma typhon 6s blx all get shredded except for the belted street tires im going to try out the badlands 2.8s to see how the play I may have to drop my gearing a bit more to stop overheating the motor. Ballooning is a major problem
@@TheNamesArif try amazon thay have good prices at $100 for a set here in the states are high for me to. Amazon has them at half and sometimes more than half the price
That's the ProTek R/C Tire Tube Bag. They're available for 1/10 and 1/8 tires; here is the 1/8 bag we used: www.amainhobbies.com/protek-rc-1-8-buggy-tire-bag-w-storage-tubes-ptk-8106/p-qqqeqsrqgzzwqctz -Brett
