Greer Garson was perfectly cast in "Random Harvest" - one of my all time favorite films. The scene at the end when she calls out "Smithy" and Ronald Colman responds "Paula" always brings a tear to my eye.
That was one of the most touching scenes I have ever seen in a movie. I saw Random Harvest when I was a kid and then later on TV. And then of course when it came out on DVD I bought it. What a story that was .
What. beautiful tribute to a sensational actress and lady. In case, I misheard, the movie she did with Debbie Reynolds is "The Singing Nun," and not the Flying Nun. Continue your wonderful work!
Thanks for this. Greer Garson (along with Maureen O’Hara) has always been one of my favourites. Imagine starting your Hollywood career at the age of 33 and being honoured with an Oscar no,inaction for your very first film! She was remarkably beautiful and very elegant, and was deserving of the Oscar for her role in Mrs. Miniver.
Thank you for profiling my favorite female actor. My favorite scene of hers was in Goodbye Mr. Chips when they met on the mountaintop. What sane man wouldn't climb any mountain to be in that situation? She is my vision of classic Hollywood that I want to remember.
Actually after she did Goodbye Mr Chips, she starred in Remember with Robert Taylor, this was her 2nd film and Pride and Prejudice was her 3rd. Now a well known film, but just wanted to get the order correct, TKS.
Exactly who were the "family" to visit her at the hospital penthouse suite? She was an only child, her mother had died and she had no children??? I adored Greer in Random Harvest with Ronald Coleman, she was a spectacular actress. There were a couple of movies she should have passed on.
It Was Not The Flying Nun !!!!! But as The Singing Nun, made in 1966 with Actress Debbie Reynolds based on the Real Nun Jeannie Deckers. A Belgium Nun.
I loved her voice. She was a great actress. I loved her movies. I was very surprised to learn that one of her husbands was the actor who played her husband in Mrs. Miniver. He turned out to be a real loser
@@judyatwell7944 I was taught it is not WHAT you say but HOW you say it...Judy,this world is imperfect,I am,you are. This gentlemen is.We have the choice to be anything today.I choose to be kind..
@@davec7354 When you are talking about someone who is no longer with us you need to tell the correct facts or people repeat what you say and that’s how mistakes are made. I’m not going to argue with you..that’s not why I commented.
First of all it was very disappointing you never answered the question why they told her not to speak to the motion picture is the singing nun starring Debbie Reynolds she was not in the Flying Nun that was a TV program
