They shouldn't be able to tell a racer what they can or can't jump. Ridiculous to strip that win from the kid. What's next? Telling Deegan he can't full send anymore? Assholes!
It was NOT awesome last year when a bunch of them wadded up.. Nobody wants to carry a child to an ambulance... hurts even worse when they are little and parents are completely responsible for their safety.
@@woodysrockspyro6436 imagine never even hitting puberty and you already got life long injuries that will haunt you from broken and plated bones to paralysis and death and still these low iq inbreds will shout sEnD iT!!!! They’re the real cancer in the sport.
These kids are so fast it’s impressive. Being able to whip and scrub on a 65 and send those big bike sized jumps is so much harder than people think. After three years of training and riding consistently, I was never able to ride nearly as good as this. congratulations to these kids for being so fast! Hopefully they reach Deegan and Tomac level someday. Edit: You have to consider the age of these kids and how much the bike weighs. The fact that these kids are able to handle all of that at such an early age is so impressive.
Gray WON his race!! He crossed that finish line threshold and that’s the WIN. After that, double, triple, back flip…..that’s his glory and not yours to take away with penalties. He won his race!!
@@1313greer13yt you obviously dont ride at a local level. Hare scrambles/GNCC/enduro has MX beat 10 to 1. I will personally never go back to an open stadium again. I am not sitting in the rain or baking in the sun again, I checked both off this year. They need to take supercross back to closed stadiums. Supercross is inside, motocross is outside.
It's rite there in the rules! If you leave the track to gain advantage, you get docked! That little badass left the track! Just like when a rocketship leaves the planet, he was way up there!
@@blubug768 they were probably told not to do it ahead of time and perhaps he wanted to do it anyways, hopefully no parental pressure, I do see that their reasoning for banning it is so other kids don't feel pressured to do it by themselves or their parents, leading to horrific crashes and injuries, but penalizing the kid for jumping big seems wrong and counterintuitive to what the sport is about. Same for pros, if a rider finds a line that's risky, taking the line away isn't the answer, the other riders need to decide not to risk it if they don't feel they can do it.
It does absolutely suck that the kid got penalized for having the talent required to make that jump. However, if they were told not to jump it, you must follow the rules and not jump it. Without rules, we have chaos. And they should learn at an early age that you must follow the rules or there will be consequences. Should they have ever told them not to jump it? No, they were the elite 65cc riders. They should have been allowed to do whatever their skill level allowed them to do. But since they were told not to they are the elite 65cc riders. So they should understand how to follow the rules. Just my opinion for what it's worth
nah yall should just stop getting butthurt when someone has exceeded there competion this goes for carter and any other kids sending it!!! this is motocross not basketball buddy quit being so soft
Little different! Deegan is a pro rider… these kids are not!! That’s a big jump for a little bike and it’s a blind landing.. if one lands bad then the other kid could easily land on him.. I think it’s the right decision!!!! AMA told the little guys don’t do it!!!
Hold on, no one crashed the finish double and they were penalised for jumping it but how many kids crashed the rhythm section and they did nothing about that section.
Whether you like a kid jumping the finish line double or not all it takes is for one to come up a little short and possibly get seriously injured, like a broken spine or neck, then who will be blamed? Lots of sports have special rules for young athletes to prevent injuries.
What do you think riding a bike is about? Get into tennis if you can handle it, if you couldn't get hurt from taking risks to be that fastest everyone would be track champions, guess that's why we don't know your name
@@armajunkie7058I get where you’re coming from, and I almost agree as a motocross rider, but 65s really just aren’t meant for jumps that big. If you noticed the double in the back, those kids are taking half the impact on the landing. Hitting big jumps are fun, trust me I know;😂but sometimes risking ruining your life or racing career isn’t worth it.
@Sunlight_VR oh I agree, I'd be worried about a 125 not able to make the gap with my corn fed ass, I personally never liked jumps, always ran harescramble and enduro, figured if God wanted me to fly I'd have wings, but they never limited us on hill climbs or log jumps, single tracks on cliff edges, it's unfair to limit someone's personal ability for someone else's safety
Didn't pro racers get told they weren't allowed to do freestyle jumps during a race years ago because you know Travis Pastrana was going to try a backflip during a race. Then, the other guys are going to try and style. Next thing you know, you're not at a supercross, but a freestyle event.
My problem is that they told them just before the race when nerves are high and they gave him his first place interview with JT hyping it all up. Stupid to let all of that happen and then say well, sorry bud.
What a complete BS, first of the goal is to go around the track as fast as possible, second the jump in the back was even bigger so if risk is involved it's even bigger BS. Just imagine the AMA telling the 250 and 450 class how they must take the rythem sections.
You guys put a jump there and then you expect the kids not to jump it for their safety and yet you leave the whole side of the track lined with cement you guys really got your head where the sun doesn't shine
100% on point with your comment about taking a calculated risk. This kid was given the green light to jump the finish line if he thought he could. We all know the saying, if you do the crime, you have to do the time. He knew there would be a penalty for his actions and he’s got to accept that. Also to your point, I’m sure he gained a lot of fans for doing that jump and I’m sure he feels like it was worth the cost
The kids are riding on a track built for the best of the best. If one part of the track is unsafe for them to ride. Then dont let them ride the track at all. Silly AMA. The sport is inherently dangerous. We all know this. Let the kids ride and have fun.
These kids are fucking rippers, holy shit! When I was their age, I was fouling out spark plugs on my KX65 and gooning it at the track, and went home and did what they're doing on a video game w/ MTX Mototrax for PS2. Stay healthy little dudes!
This is just more of a shit show of what ama is turning into to. Lets have a race with concrete walls 4 ft off rythem lane. Yet were gonna make whoop secrions this yr 9 long for rider safety and so riders can race all yr. Please will someone tell me who besides kenny got hurt in whoops this yr and kenny got hurt from exploding his shock. But its all for rider safety. Heres the best one. Lets make a series at end of yr for big money lets have them a cross between outdoor and supercross. Sure thing ama. We run two massively diff suspension set ups for them. Yet now u want us to do one for both and expect us not to tuck our front wheel at 60mph or not bottom out our shocks dropping from the sky. Ama is so damn ignorant and the riders need to stand up and start telling them what they want cuz ama dont know shit
How about just get a track spotter? Someone that will tell an upcoming finisher that there’s traffic and not to jump maybe? Common sense instead of penalizing a kid for being an absolute winner
This is a good idea but there’s a reason they don’t do this already. I’m not sure if you’ve raced before, but most riders are focused on the race, and if they had somebody to tell them last minute not to jump, it might end up in a wreck on the face or congestion before a jump. The idea is good, but it just wouldn’t work. And to be honest, Carter probably wouldn’t care 😂
The AMA is the new Olympics . Must make it a easy and fair track so nobody gets there feelings hurt . The Deegan double now the Gray kid this crap is why i dont watch Nascar anymore
They did get better. They learned one of life's most important lessons. There are consequences for actions. The "AMA" didn't hinder anyone LOL. He hindered himself 🤦♂🤦♂You are a typical it's someone else's fault kind of person.
This became my supercrazy 65cc video provider....! You could compare to real life 450 power, how long should they go to make a jump the size it is for the kids now.
Shoot last weekend at the Baja brawl I watch him Superman to scorpion on the sight lap, get up and go in the moto not to mention he pegged out on the same jump every lap like he didn’t already yard sale it lol.
The AMA is absolute Dogshit for this. Literally just about everything they do Ruins the sport and fun of the sport 100%. I may be just a guy sending tiny pitbikes but I don't think I'm wrong.
No matter what it has nothing to do with politics nor did football or nba. That falls on all u for linking it to politics plain and simple. Otherwise that was all freedom of speech. As for this its not smx its ama. They did that after seeing all the kids get hurt. I get it but dont agree with it. Also ama knowing they were racing they shoudl of had a alternative race line for them.
@@adredsox79 they said it was for “safety” - but no padding on concrete barrier through the whole track? & the tuph blocks on the track through the rhythm section?…yeah super safe. bunch of bullshit restrictions is what it is.
Just wow There must be another Golden Boy in the 65s and Parents said that's to hard for my Golden Boy to do so cut out that section or Penalize anyone that clears it
somebody needs to get Eli or Kenny or somebody big like that to talk to the higher ups. that’s bs for them to dock him for talent even if they told the kids not to do it
Wokebike race! Everyone cant get a participation award when nobody else can participate in being a badass. Also funny it was ok for the pit bike racer to do a backflip every lap though. *rolls eyes* ...Carter Gray you kick ass!
So Hymas jumps on a red cross flag which means someone is down on the track, and loses points but keeps the win, but carter jumps the finish with no red cross flag and loses the win. Makes perfect sense.
not to be "that guy", they had to tell them they couldnt jump the finish line. That double was big for a big bike, it was huge for a 65... and the LAST thing anyone wants is for a 10yo kid to go for it, and it goes bad on live tv! Our sport is massively dangerous, there isnt one of us thats raced for long that has equally spaced shoulders... collarbone is usually the first thing we break lol... and broken bones to us racers are no big deal, it's a bummer because you cant ride, not because you broke a bone!!! How many times, literally, have you broken a bone and the first thing you hear from your ride buddies isnt "do you need anything" its "when will you be able to ride again". We accept it and its just part of it. Aunt Jenny breaks her leg and you would think she got shot 17 times, all the family and community comes running... to us racers.... its just a broken leg, whats the big deal? When will you be able to ride again? lol
On the other side of the coin… when the that kid went down hard in Supermini last year @ Joliet, wasn’t moving, got hauled away in the meat wagon I was sitting in the stands thinking “God I hate this sport”.
