Bruv! You’re my favorite. Not even kidding. Your videos are sick. You’re a rider for the rider. And tough break on missing some of the big sends. But you still got some good ones. And, at Ironman you were the only dude to show Deegan sending it over the Danger Double. You speak the language. Matty B! And you’re the only one.
I thought I was a bad dude on a 65 when I first started racing lol...now I think these kids could have run with us in the 85 A class just 10 years ago. Thanks Matt btw for sharing this vids and 250 and 450 practice today we all appreciate it.
Remembering back when I started to ride (6th grade in the 1970's), I can remember being young and senseless (?) enough to be willing to brave some of the speeds and jumps that really pushed my bike. I had a Kawi KV75, which was essentially a Honda Mini-Trail with a 2-stroke 75cc engine in it. For that class of bikes, it was probably the fastest at the time. The suspension (and especially the brakes) were horrid. When you got air, the forks would extend beyond the external springs (I don't recall any damping on either ends of the bike), and you could hear multiple audible loud clicks as the forks found their way back to the springs. Had I had a bike like these kids are riding, I probably would be crippled or dead!
Idk why but 65’s look like 50’s nowadays. I used to have a 1994 KX 60 and it was bigger than these bikes. I have a photo of it next to my 80cc the wheels aren’t much different.
I feel like nobody watched the Alessi brothers growing up. I saw Mike hit a 70 foot double on a 1995 KX60. I also saw Mike hit a 130 foot table top on a 2000 YZ80
