Because of her faithfulness and her innocence and purity her question was answered

Mother Mary on the other hand was a virgin teenager who had no high position or education as Zachariah. She wasn't doubting, as you said. Thank you for pointing out the use of SHALL and not CAN in Mary's words. That makes more sense to me now. God bless.

Mother Mary was young and only asked "how can this be, I've never had relations with a man". Hence The Immaculate Conception and Then Her Fiat.. Obedient to GOD'S WILL. Where Zachariah was not until Mother Mary came to visit St. Elizabeth and then she also was filled with the Holy Spirit. 🙏❣️❤️✝️🕊️

A very good analogy. And if the good Father's analogy is right for I'm not sure if this is Church teaching or his own understanding. If I'm understanding him correctly, A more simplified and incomplete way to put it is this. Zachariah asked it more like; yeh right how in the world is that going to happen. While Mother Mary asked it more in the context of asking directions.

Had the answer to her question been ANYTHING else, Mary would not have given her fiat. She was aware that the enemy could be deceitful and She wanted only the will of God. This was clearly God's messenger and thus She agreed.

Question of Mary was in innocence. Zachariah asked for a son so when the angel said he was going to have his prayer answered but Zachariah doubted the angel. Mary never doubted

I got upset with the question. Maybe since it was happening to Mary’s own body she had a right to ask? Zachariah may have simply not had the authority or jurisdiction to ask ..?

Because Zechariah was a whiner apparently
