Electric vehicles are just using up a different resource. I forsee a field full of trucks that they can't get new batteries for, and they can't get rid of them. Just like the failed bicycle share idea in China.
That's not why they failed. It was just a scam to get more money from the ccp government and investors. BTW, the same thing is going on with ev's in China. They make fake receipts and register the cars to make investors think they sold them.
They doing it with electric cars too just to get the numbers and tons sitting and rotting. Current tech electric is just kicking the cam down the road.

That Colonia reminded me of a rigid truck l would see around Sydney Australia the most unusual feature was that it was a big flat bed truck fir carrying contaibers and the drivers compartment was under the tray in front of the front wheels under the flat bed of the truck l pretty sure there was only one l don't know who made it because l saw it driving along very strange

Those are killer trucks! A trucker needs to be able to see OVER the vehicles ahead of it in case SHIT HAPPENS ! Back in the 1970s there was a trucking company based out of Missouri. NOER Ithink, and theirs was called a CAB UNDER. I ran across that rig several times when it was being tested running cross country. I talked to the drive and he was not at all happy with being stuck down under his trailer. His complaint was he couldn't see over even a normal sized car, and he said it was so fearful he couldn't make any time up when in traffic, and also not being able to SEE OVER WHEN CRESTING HILLS, if there should be an accident or vehicle entering the roadway. You couldn't pay me enough money to operate a rig like that nowhere, no way in hell.
The Schnibbelmobil was destined to remain unique; even if M-A-N chose to make it a factory model they would've used a VW Passat wagon body. They weren't yet part of the VW group but were already affiliated and worked together on the LT van project and heavier-duty developments of it. Colonia probably used a Ford because Ford of Germany is based in Cologne.
Colonge crocodile is definitely better in terms of driver position compared to the Schneider supercargo, which appears to use a modified airport tug as tractor-unit
