Great research sir! I actually met her mother when I worked at a major bank in Beverly Hills, in 1994. Her mother was extremely wealthy, equally eccentric, but presented as a poor elderly woman or "bag lady". She would come in at times to "visit" her money, as she rarely spent any of it. She told me of this story of of her daughter as I assisted her with her inquiries into her huge accounts. God rest her soul.

Since the car is encapsulated in concrete, the car should be still solid enough. The Ferrari 340 America is worth from 300k $ to almost $2 million, especially in her rare 1 of 1 spec.

Google the Plymouth Belvedere that was buried in Tulsa, it was supposed to be a 50 year time capsule, placed in a concrete tomb like this which was supposed to be watertight, sadly water still got into it, when they uncovered the car 50 years later it was far from pristine. I imagine this Ferrari to be in a similar state.

That is one of the oldest crmentaries in San Antonio. Very old graves from 1700 and 1800. Lots of Masonic and Confederate soldiers from back then. Very rich people are buried there.

Even if the car could be brought to ground level and IF it was still in decent condition, the odor of decomposition would be already settled into the interior of the car so badly, that alone would render the car worthless.

They had her body filled with embalming fuild so she won't rot and decompose so there wouldn't be any smell to it.

@@rhettdrake6018 Even after embalming the body, the body would still decompose and smell of rotten flesh and chemicals. Embalming fluid is only temporary to preserve the body until after the funeral.

I went to school with a girl that was also buried in her car. She was killed on her way to school one rainy morning. The car was a light blue 1950s coupe convertible. I can still see her driving it and her long scarf trailing behind in the wind. I wonder if this story is where she got the idea or at least her parents 🤔

If you ever come up to Virginia sometime, there’s a few good cemeteries you could go see. I’d definitely recommend Shockoe Hill Cemetery, since it hosts the grave of John Marshall; one of the most famous Supreme Court Justices who established Judicial Review and remained on the Supreme Court for over thirty years.

The cemetery itself is in poor shape! Such a sad end to an extraordinary woman! Another great video of another life gone before their time! When I go I don't want to be buried with any of my possessions, I want them to go to my family! My great aunt was buried with thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and all I could think was, WHY!!

A tragic, but heartwarming story....! It's very refreshing to learn that her legacy, shows what a lovely and kind woman she was 😊💝 You hear so many stories from the 1800 and 1900 centuries of many, many, deviant women. Their personalities really are mind blowing, as to how and why, they committed more than 1 murder, to benifit for financial gain only. Rusting is an oxidation reaction. The iron reacts with water and oxygen to form hydrated iron(III) oxide, which we see as rust. Iron and steel rust when they come into contact with water and oxygen - both are needed for rusting to occur. The car should be in good condition but very smelly

Love this, the car will be just fine as long as it's kept out of the air and moisture however the problem is is that the dead body that's inside the vehicle decomposing which causes the problem and threat of other issues with the vehicle.

So she passed away in ‘77 but had drawn up a will in ‘72 stating her last wishes as to how she wanted to be buried. Why was she buried without her wishes being honored to begin with? Yeah her boyfriend fought it in court but it didn’t sound like she was laid to rest temporarily because of a stubborn boyfriend. The way he told the story almost made it sound like this will popped up after she had already been buried and because of that created the hissy fit her bf threw before ultimately having her wishes granted. I’m also curious why her and her family was buried in what was said to be a very bad area if they had so much wealth? Also, they all have the name ‘West’. She does, her husband did, other family members buried near her and even her boyfriend. So I’m thinking she was buried in her husbands family’s plot. And then oddly enough her boyfriend had himself buried next to her husband. It’s all so weird.

I don’t question why some people are buried in less than questionable places even if they are wealthy. Simply because some family members will do the bare minimum to save the remaining inheritance for themselves. I use to manage a city cemetery years ago. The reason grass fails to grow on many grave sites other than poor soil condition or a location that is not conducive to grass growth, is that the concrete vaults are to close to the surface. During the scorching days of summer the tops of the vaults heat up enough to kill the roots of the grass, this began to happen after the vaults were increased in height. We had to require that grave depth be increased by at least a foot to prevent reflected heat from killing the grass.
