Sadie, I appreciate that you touched on this topic and that it did not come off offensive that people were interested in your choice or lack of choice. As a woman who has no children and has been researching various methods, I think it is important to know these things, especially what is available and what you have to look forward to. A lot of people in the comments seem to think the questions concerning the race of your children may have been rude or unnecessary, however, I do like how you were very informative in your delivery and you did not make it seem like their questions came from a bad place. I respect this a lot. I am 42 and after doing an Ancestry DNA test, I found out that I was donor conceived. I know nothing about the donor at all - no health history. Nothing. Also, my parents raised me as white even though I looked mixed and acted like I was crazy if I asked questions. So I found out that I was half black through the DNA test as well. Honesty is so important - life is confusing when you don’t “match” your family and you don’t know why. And health history is important too. I made so many decisions based on the wrong information. (I was the result of a donor mixup. My parents wanted a donor that looked like them, but that isn’t what they got).

I knew even before watching this video that the reason they had white/hispanic twins is because that's what was available to them at the time. I see them a couple of times a year, and I`m the link to their blood family. They have always been allowed to ask me anything at any time. Or call me anytime they want. And we all have great chemistry. I have great respect for the adoptive parents, and have always wanted everything to be on their terms. Open adoptions and open embryo adoptions, are great for the kids. And they will definitely thank you for that decision , when they are older! Your kids are super lucky to have parents like you! xx

Literally my favorite thing about you guys is that you are breaking the race issue in a very proactive way. It shouldn’t matter what race your babies are, they are a gift to you and you and Jarvis are a gift to them. As long as everyone is happy and loved race doesn’t matter. Thank you so much for being you, because in my opinion you are breaking “social barriers” that shouldn’t be there to begin with.

When we project something hateful on to someone else, we’re usually dealing with our own fears. I’m gonna assume the vast majority of folks throwing shade are also not gonna be the ones donating embryos, or adopting children who still need to be raised. I was adopted at age 14 and can confirm that I didn’t care about looks or bloodlines, I needed love, stability, and security. If we aren’t being part of the solution what right do we have to shit on someone who is? Sadie and Jarvis I love your family, I love your love, any child that gets to call you mom and dad has been blessed. Carry on being beautiful souls and showing us how it can be done. 🤗
