We are all ANGRY at Russia! And it's not surprising. Every day it kills us, takes away our health, happiness, and opportunities. And we get angry when foreigners don't understand us, or when once again we have to explain to a foreign taxi driver why our country needs military assistance.
But besides that, we engage in conflicts with each other, we argue online, which destroys our relationships and ourselves, and plays into Russia's hands.
In the second episode of the podcast 'Decolonizers,' Valya is angry that she can no longer argue with her deceased friends, and Mariam is angry at Russia because her brother Masii Nayem will no longer see with both eyes. They also talk about feelings of anger and what to do with them. Why do Ukrainians laugh at memes about 'a shark that ate a Russian'?
How does anger and aggression help us survive and adapt? What does this say about us as a former colony? Watch and listen to the second episode of the 'Decolonizers' podcast on Suspilne Kultura.
