Guys - we were with you emotionally through every step of that. You both dealt with it really well and have learnt so much from a really difficult (and expensive) situation. You’re also giving Motel 6 a great shout-out, maybe they could sponsor Pt2…..😂 Things will go wrong, but you regrouped & dealt with it. I’m not sure we’d have been able to do much differently. 👍

From this side of the camera, you both handled it so well! The change from Mog to Mini still cracks me up. And, as for the problem with the trailer...I am guessing whoever was driving behind the trailer got a pretty good light show with the chains sparking as they hit the ground and bounced all over.

Can’t wait for part 2. The air system on the Mog is crazy, even as a German it’s hard to understand the logic behind it. If I’d encountered those symptoms I’d probably would have put the pressure gauge on the various test ports and hope to isolate the issue to a small portion of the complex system.

HAYA you Both, What a Trip. You asked what was wrong with the Trailer Package. Hoping that Axle wont be damaged. ( Leacking ? ) Interesting for us what Not to do and be prepared . A backup compressor is where I am headed as it would be a total PITA to have this happen 250 miles in the bush. My mog is U1700L ex NZ Army and it has the Aux poerts to attach a donor tow truck to give air.

I actually do carry a compressor but do not know how to backfill the tanks yet. I will do that soon and make a bideo

On my mog there is an air port that on German fire trucks were common. The mog was plugged into house air while in the station to keep the air on the mog at pressure.

This is something I really need to nail down soon. Maybe I could have used my electric air compressor. I will post on the forums today about this.

This works in reverse also. Fill a tire in a pinch etc.

I really want to know what the problem was and the fix. Mine has external air line port and apparently you can pressurize that line and release the parking brake. I am speculating a pin hole leak in a line somewhere in contact with frame???
