@@badamsfx Arcimoto is downsizing back to its first factory. It just resumed warranty repairs and limited production this week. They are selling off some of the large scale manufacturing tools that were very expensive. The large factory is being leased or sold to reduce debts. Website will be back soon.

Nope, it won’t make that. But as a grocery-go-getter and shorter trips to nearby cities, it is a hoot (and cheap).

@@billsmith5960 The FUV *might* have 10 min recharging at some point in the future. As with all things Arcimoto, stating this as a fact might come back on the company down the road.

@@harriska2 - Read the press releases. It's already here as Arcimoto is going to now build the batteries for Mobis. I doubt they would exaggerate the claims. That would be wrong.

@@billsmith5960 Yes, there is an agreement, but even if it happens it could take years. Arcimoto has suffered from unrealistic expectations, I take announcements with a grain of salt. Why give another reason for people to hate them if this doesn’t come to pass within a few months or a year? Because it likely will take longer.

Arcimoto had to downsize and there will be no budget or staff for videos but other YT channels can still make videos when there is news or if there is no news they will make up something dishonest. No company can be 'dead' before it has officially declared bankruptcy. Not happening at this time.

Pedal assist can not be a 'version' of a 1300 pound 84 mph autocycle. Arcimoto hoped to make a new 140 pound e-trike design called the CyberTrike but they had to cancel. You can still see videos about it here.

A manufacturer with 100 employees is somewhat limited in what they can set up and support.

50 states have 50 different laws for autocycles. It takes time to lobby for inclusion and classification. You did not bother to mention what state. A look at your channel page stopped me cold when I saw you are a fan of Fox news.

@@billsmith5960 No. All states opened to sales have either mobile technician service or certified EV service garages. That is the main hurdle before sales can happen.

@@popeyegordon - Sounds great. So why hasn’t it expanded? Why are there posts of people waiting weeks for service? I have been told there is a huge demand for them yet such limited sales footprint. Plus the company has gone silent the last few months.

@@billsmith5960 All the reasons have been elaborated on here for years. You are not being sincere, you are harassing me and the company. Company health is NOT dictated by its RU-vid presence. We can pick up the phone and get service in a reasonable amount of time for a thinly spread company. In many cases the quick service responses are noted in our Facebook owner group which I see every day while you have no clue about what is going on. We also share info that reduces the need for service calls that can be handled DIY. I have asked you before how many business degrees you have and you never answer. You are nobody special and you actually go into a negative value for your contributions to the dialog. Stop trying to poison the internet.

"Not quite there" is how we would describe most electric cars we have driven recently. Just look up the videos on RU-vid of an honest look at daily life with any of them (real videos, not paid for shills that show off only good things about them). A controversial point, but also look up how cobalt for batteries has to mined from somewhere. Unless they all get as good as a Tesla Model S, and ethical practices for battery supplies are observed and a genuine scientific agreement on evidence of how (or if) these cars are any better for the planet, I am sticking to gas for the foreseeable future.

@@jeffzekas - Plus most of the products we use in everyday life, we somehow act like they have ethical practices when it comes to their mining operations. Same for Shoes and clothing when it comes to labor. Yet for EV's, it's horrible and we need to do something about it. I don't see anyone up in arms when Hyundai was using illegal immigrants that were children working in their car parts plant in Alabama. Same for our food and the farms that someone has to pick those items or the beef and chicken processing plants right here in the US. It's better to just pick on EV's and act like the rest doesn't exist. I bet if Hyundai had those illegal immigrant children working in a EV battery plant, it would be front and center in the news.

You are hopelessly isolated from reality if you think they will ever consider a gas motor. That's entirely against their mission statement. These are selling great in the northwest as is, because in every case they offer far more weather protection than any other motorcycle on the road, and they are far safer. too. You are looking at the world through multiple layers of filters.

@@popeyegordon - They have sold just under 700 over a 4 year period. Mark Frohmeyer was thinking 10K this year alone and 50K by 2025. Maybe they will sell 200 this year over a 19 state selling area. This year should have been a bumpercrop of sales as there is no Covid, supply chain management or wartime economy. Thus they have sold 2% of their projection for this year. That consists of 38% of the US. Why are the sales numbers so low?

They are re-opening their old mid-sized factory and auctioning off excess expensive machinery to achieve downsizing. I saw a photo of them in there yesterday, with the roller door open. Facebook presence never went away, maybe you were blocked. Gossiping like old ladies at tea is pathetic - everyone knows a company is over when bankruptcy is officially declared. Not saying it can't happen, I'm saying it has NOT happened.

You will only see the FUV in the US. There was no attempt to start international sales. NO to three passengers, that would be an entirely different vehicle that is no longer a light EV or an autocycle. I bought mine because I get the motorcycle rate on insurance. $134/yr is a huge annual savings for insurance, I can't really afford a car.

Several hundred million motorcyclists have no roof OR windows and often no windshield. Every one of them would appreciate the increased safety and comfort the Arcimoto offers. I was one of them until I bought my Arcimoto 2 years ago.

That's a big concern for most people. The company listed that they were to have a full hard enclosure when they did the IPO. It never happened and they admitted that they need to redesign the vehicle to accommodate full doors. As of now, there are no options. The zippered ones are not an option as they are dangerous because you can be trapped in it if you are in an accident. Nobody wants to zip in and out of a vehicle. This is why Jeep has half doors and inserts that fill in to make full doors as opposed to having to zip in and out.

@@billsmith5960 No, it is only a misguided concern for those with no previous motorcycle experience. Arcimoto did NOT 'list' or promise that climate control was in the works, they only say it is a possibility not ruled out. The tubular frame makes that hard even if it was a good idea, which it is not. Car addicts are used to a lifetime of driving solar ovens that give off massive amounts of stored heat from their engines and transmissions when they are parked. Because of the windows they have to run their AC on max for a while, not needed at all if there were no windows to concentrate the heat in the first place. My doorless FUV lets cooling breezes through at all times, it can't build up solar heat. Therefore I don't spend the money for a vehicle with AC and I don't have the weight, range and weight penalty of AC. Simple is better.

@@popeyegordon - Go back and read the SEC filing for Arcimoto right before their IPO. The listed hard enclosure, HVAC and extended battery pack. So, that's what we were to believe as it's an official company document. Not an opinion or wish list. Then the company has no talk about this today yet to get investors interested in giving them money so they could get to production, they made these claims. For you it was all good as you got your FUV. As we see, the sales are not so good and the white elephant in the room is range, HVAC and full doors.
