Well in defense of Phoenix players, they have to go to tournaments knowing that their actual life is on the line, surrounded by murderous intent.

The things I would pay to see for the ending of the spite story would be after that world-tour montage would be running up against that Phoenix player and saying, "I *won't* be seeing you at the Smash Brothers Tournament," just to send that player into an anime flashback of his own demise.

I play Spider-Man. He was one of the few characters that had Anti-Phoenix Tech(TM) in _Vanilla_ MvC3 (X-Factor > Ultimate Web Throw for the curious). I actually had a chance to put my new knowledge to the test, right? Landed an Air Combo, Phoenix pops, _I mistime the X-Factor,_ Phoenix then proceeds to sodomize me with a sadistic smile on her face. I'm still haunted by that. I'm not a good player by any means, but still, it would've been one my greatest victories.

Learned a lesson today: the spite buff is extremely powerful.

Wait! You mean to tell me that a character named "Phoenix," named after the fire bird that REVIVES ON DEATH, has a gimmick where if she dies with max bars she revives? No way! I could have never seen that coming!

The only mistake Capcom made with Phoenix is they didn’t give Akuma a Level 5 Shin Akuma mode just like Dark Phoenix where Akuma gets back up and challenge you with his full power. There should’ve been two characters in the game, one on each side, that had that type of Level 5 move.

We can excuse Vergil players, cuz Dmc is cool asf we are all deep down motivated to play him sometime, but Dark Phoenix has no motivation to be that evil

Always love how accessible these videos are, as someone who's fighting game knowledge is surface level. I think the thing that I hate about her the most isn't entirely her fault, but with the advancement of TAC infinites in the meta, the entire risk/reward factor with her is gone. With her on anchor, you used to have to carefully consider if you wanted to cash out with the meter you have to ensure a kill, or save that meter in case you start getting bodied so you can pop Dark Phoenix. Now that line of thinking is completely gone because you can just do a TAC infinite with any of the most popular Phoenix teams to ensure a kill without spending the meter. TAC infinites overtaking the meta turned the smallest redeeming and interesting factor of her install into something players don't even consider anymore.

If you do a "Why we hate zero". My reason is the amount of time I have spent in-matches learning Zero just to learn 1 of if not the hardest character in UMVC3 that is my reason. I decided to learn not just him but Dante and Virgil (ZMC!) out of sheer spite against my friend just to finally get a win on him in this game. Don't get me wrong he is a great character, but OMG the amount of time I've put into just him, i felt i could have learned 3-5 more teams then just him. Great video I love your content keep it up!

When you do the Zero episode, I desperately hope one point is dedicated to hating on ZMC. Normally, I just roll my eyes at people sticking to the top tier, but ZMC is so labbed out, so well known that there's nothing new to see. If the other player isn't winning, you're just watching the same 2-3 combos until KO.

I always prefer seeing a Phoenix team over a Zero/Vergil or Morrigan/Doctor Doom team. So much more interesting interactions and counterplay available. Also, bashing Anti-Phoenix Tech is a little unfair because she's the only character where her opponent decides when she hits her powerspike (by comboing her). So it's already assumed you have a position of power over her right before she pops, and you can condemn her to any setup you can manage. And don't underestimate that tiny health bar, even Dark Phoenix can die to a single hyper combo.
