I've put my heart, my soul and over 50+ HOURS into making this tribute, the last 20 hours straight with literally no sleep and it's finally done!
Thank you Rafael Nadal for being the biggest inspiration of my entire life, I love you so much.
In September 2012, Rafa made me the happiest person on earth when he himself recognized my work and thanked me personally on his facebook page! Proudest moment of my life no doubt. (will leave links to the post in the comments)
And now I need your help so that Rafa can notice my work again, I'll leave a tweet in the comments and I'll be super grateful if you could help retweet it so we might have a chance that Rafa gets to see it, THANK YOU!
This is a tribute I've been waiting 10 years to make, I had this song and this video playing in my head every single time Rafa goes to the Australian Open. And Finally, after too many heartbreaking losses, too many injuries, the greatest of all time manages to win the Australian Open beating Daniil Medvedev, a guy 10 years younger than him in the final. Coming from two sets down. AN ABSOLUTE MIRACLE!
Rafa now has 21 grand slams surpassing both Roger Federer & Novak Djokovic who have 20 each!
2 Australian Open titles, 13 Roland Garros titles, 2 Wimbledon titles, 4 US OPEN titles!

I love your dedication and echo your sentiments 💯👍. Thank you for doing this, absolutely stunning video. I couldn't sleep much either and will savor his victory forever. In my opinion his most important one by far, not because he won #21 but for all the heartbreak he suffered in Australia over 12 years (technically since 2010). 👏👏👏🙏 FYI, he is also the first man since laver to win the AO from 0-2 sets down, explains the 🤗 A thought for Daniil too, he tried really hard and would have won against most.

The amount of Djokovic supporters in the comments section before even Nadal fans are here is just ridiculous. I personally wouldn’t go comment on a tribute video after a “nobody cares about it” grand slam win and write paragraphs about “but”s and “if”s. “If” doesn’t exist in sports and your choices have consequences. What Djokovic chose to do, he brought it on himself and it has nothing to do with Rafa. Rafa deserved this championship after all the things he has been through in this tournament and all the chances he couldn’t turn around. What he did this Sunday was not something ordinary and everybody who is a decent human being should be able to appreciate it. It’s not “asterisk”: it’s a well deserved win after 13 years of pain, dedication and hard work. Nobody deserved a win in Australia more than Rafa did.

I started watching him as a tennis fan, liked his dynamism and style. But his heart and his humility and his philosophy are what made me a fan. The way he consoled Roger at AO 09, his brutal honesty in defeat and victory...his constant messages that in order to achieve you must be ready to suffer. Truly a role model. I dont care about GOAT debates, I dont care who ends with most Slams...I just want him to be healthy and keep playing for as long as he can, because he brings something to tennis that no one else does.

“Never give up”…that’s what we all should learn from Rafa…he was contemplating retiring from tennis & playing golf in 2005,remember…!!multiple carrier threatening injuries,heartbreaks of failure,a chronic serious foot problem & here we are 17 yrs later,21 grand slams & still fighting it out,still d best…he has 2,3 grand slams still in him,but at this point even if he finishes with 21,he is the GOAT….

You are so right. He was injured so much unlike the other two Greats but the inspiration overcame it all. Rafa is such a great sportsman of the game and never took credit away from an opponent win or lose. He had to beat a prime Federer and a prime Djokovic for so much of his career and deal with injuries too. He will always be the Goat for me because of that and his fighting spirit. I really think he was the difference in making the rivalries with Federer and Djokovic so special throughout his career. Vamos Rafa! One more French trophy please!

The most beautiful thing about his run, was just the pure joy he had every match he won in the later rounds. He truly didn't expect anything of himself in this tournament. It appears that he really thought this was the end for him and he was on his goodbye tour. He was as shocked as the rest of us to see how well he was performing. Every win was pure joy for him and just another blessing. He wasn't even thinking of winning the damn thing, he just wanted to play another match everytime. It's beautiful and heart breaking at the same time and I'm so glad he finish it off and extend his career further. Now let's wish him luck on Sunday for GS #22 in Paris! Go Rafa!!!

14 French Open titles! Honestly, the number 14 pales in comparison to his win over Novak in QF. That was so satisfying. I think Novak thought he could win 2 in a row. HA! Another nice thing is the haters have been so quiet since he won over Novak. It just feels good. Nadal Is The KING!

2005-2010 Prime Roger Federer Era 2011-2016 Prime Djokovic Era 2017-mid 2018 Federer Era Mid 2018 onwards-still counting Novak Era Both had their eras in prime. Nadal was just chasing the 2 of them in their best eras still 2day Nadal had the most GS. That's why he's the ultimate LEGEND of the sport. He didn't get a weak era or an open-ended run to bully others & statpad GS especially like Djokovic in 2015-16 & 2021 Oh yeah & not to forget the 2 Olympic Gold medals Only 4 men have won all the GS twice-Djokovic,Roy Emerson,Rod Laver & Nadal Only 2 men have won Career Golden Slam-Agassi & Nadal Only Nadal has won all grand slams+Olympic Gold medals twice

Also He says in the Bible, “You have not because you ask not. Ask and you will receive so that your joy may be full.” I ask for everything and of course I do not get all I ask for. God knows best. But we can’t lose by asking. If we don’t ask we might always wonder what would have happened if we had done so. Sorry for the little sermonette. I love prayer-it has changed my life. Even if you’re a fan of Roger or Novak, it’s hard not to root for this man. His passion, desire, competitiveness accompanied by his humbleness, Honesty, and respect for others. He truly is the perfect role model for all. He is someone tennis should be honored to have at the top of their sport. Beautiful work here. This video can bring tears to a grown man’s eyes. It truly shows why we as tennis fans have been drawn to love Rafa over his magnificent career.

I was so frustrated when he was 2 sets down but i kept on watching just for 1% faith! And then the greatest comeback that I have ever seen in my life man! I love rafaaa. Amazing video and tribute for the GOAT! This has to be Rafa’s greatest victory, especially considering his history at the AO. Now us fans and Rafa himself can look back at the AO and instead of feeling the pain of the past, we’ll remember his most special victory of his career. The greatest comeback ever. It felt like he expelled all of his demons at that tournament. In the QFs, as is typical, Rafa had physical issues. He always retires in the QFs of the AO or loses to an inspired opponent. This felt like one of those times. Rafa instead overcame the heat stroke and beat Shapo, an inspired opponent, in 5 sets after losing 4 kilos in the match alone. In the final he was getting blown out similar to AO 2019. He came back and made it a fifth set. In the fifth set he was up a break and lost it, just like AO 2012 and 2017. He calmly broke Medvedev again and served it out, holding to love. He wanted this one. I knew all week. I just wasn’t sure if he could stay fit for long enough. But he did. Thank you Wivo, for the video to help us remember the best and most stressful two weeks in tennis history for Rafa fans.

Still wake up each day and I still do not believe that Rafa winning for the second time has happened. It is unreal. I was waiting my whole life (since 2009) for this exact feeling and moment. Cannot be more happy for Rafa as a fan. I will never forget how much he fought in the 2nd set to get his rhythm and game back and how he was always positive and going for broke with his winners. Just pure tears of joy watching him play and the passion and the emotion he brings to the game is very unique. Must have been a treat watching this game live in the Rod laver Arena. I can tell you it was hard watching the first 2 sets but the way he kept on fighting and pushing himself to be better and the improvement in his serve from the 1st to the last set was amazing. He was unplayable from the 3rd set after that 0-40 game and once he found that confidence and rhythm back it was only a matter of time before it was over. As for the nervous close out of the match hope he buried the old memories together with this win and can go from strength to strength from here on. Here's to an Injury free rest of the career.

When he was up at 30-0 at 5-4, all the pain of the previous years came rushing to me and I started crying. I still dont know why this feels so personal, but when he was broken during that game I was shattered. Then I couldnt belive he just smashed his way to the win. This tribute is MAGICAL , just like Rafa's comeback! Capture's the essence of Rafa's journey from AO#1 to AO#2; all the pain he endured which would have made lesser mortals give up hopes for a second title. I could imagine Rafa repeating to himself "this is not the end of me.. this is the beginning" third set onwards. He actually did say that the past losses were on his mind and he was always going to keep believing he could win until the very end. And HE DID IT! I really hope Rafa watches this video too! This incredible production has left me emotional. I have watched it twice. There have been so many disappointments, for Nadal at this Grand Slam, but not anymore! I don't know how he was able to come back. Nadal has something that the rest of the field doesn't have; the heart of a lion. He came back like the Champion he is! I am in tears after watching this video. I could only recall all the pain and the suffering Rafa went through all those Aussie open finals. We thought he was going to win VS Novak and Roger but he lost. I could literally feel his pain . I appreciate your work and tribute to Rafa!

I never knew rafa way back then, bcoz basketball is the only sport that I recognize, when he won the Olympics, he was beginning to knock in my life, then my brother got a PSP from our aunt, one of its game was tennis, so I played it, without any hesitations I picked Rafael Nadal as my player for the single player, that was the beginning of how he changed my life, tennis entered my life because of him, every game from then on, I watched it on tv, 2009 upto now he's still the raging bull, that inspires me to fight in life, THANK YOU RAFA! I think when Nadal saved those three break points he decided that he refused to loose. And look what happened-- all taken from his fighting spirit, his relentlessness. His refusal to concede. That's a lesson many of us can take to heart-- even when things look like you have a FOUR PERCENT CHANCE of winning, you can still do it. If you want it enough

It fills my heart with pride that I'm a Rafan. For life. I was as much taken aback by this win as he is/was. Given that the trade pundits had virtually written him off. It's not always about the no. of slams that one may eventually win or not, but what made this win super sweet was Rafa's hunger, tenacity, relentlessness in pursuing the AO. It has been exceptional. Went through a rollercoaster through the years to bring this🏆once more to this trophy cabinet. I'm sure his adversaries are also admiring him from the sidelines 😊 Thank you for putting together one of the best tributes I hv seen in the last couple of days. Ty for those hilarious translations too (The Russian has brought in flowers for the coffin) 🤣🤣 Who even talks like that? As much as the aussie crowd has been criticized for their overall attitude I loved how they rallied behind Rafa from the word go. It was electrifying. And after the championship point how they all erupted 😆 Even the ball kid who was behind Rafa couldn't contain himself and brought the widest smile that he could to the table. Such an unforgettable moment for him too, to witness a history in making ❤

Only a true Rafan will understand all the emotions behind this video. I, as one of his biggest fans have lived all those emotions through 2012 to 2021 and felt those heartbreaking moments along with him and 2022s AO is one of his greatest slams won because of all the hardships he's faced previously down under and to come after a 6 months injury to win it all against all the odds specially in the finals in the most incredible, yet difficult manner from 2 sets down speaks volumes of the Champion Rafa is and everything he deserves which he has lost due to unfortunate injuries in the past. I wrote a thread on his history of AO recently on twitter and this video truly captures it in the same way and beyond! Great work dude and carry on doing the amazing work!! ❤️
