You think the moving around is free or there is preferential treatment? The passport is useless and you pay like everyone else for all your trips. Don't let me even tell you what the passport costs to aquire and irrespective of where you live, they could force British taxes on you. But I know your eye will not clear until you touch ground and spend 6 months.

The years she has spent abrooad ,she must have saved money,educated her kids to a reasonable extent, planned for her future and secured a guaranteed pension that will be paid to her when she reaches pension age because i believe she must have been working, acquired the British passport that enables her to travel round the world without issues. Like she said she came for greener pastures and i believe she has achieved all that,so going back home is ok. Even the British people retire to other countries and live there. We wish her the best.

You don't qualify for retirement payments if you don't work to retirement age, which is 66 for women in the UK, unless you arrange early retirement with your employer which is 55 years of age for women. I agree about getting the British passport and educating the children , although that should ideally be to university level. Anything below those two things would make the move not worth it in the long run, imho. Those really are the true benefits of the UK society.

This lady had achieved her aims of making a living after struggling in Europe, however,people who don't have their senses will probably have the decision of going back to Nigeria like her but will invariably end up as failures..Things are too hard for an ordinary poor Nigerian right now going back to Nigeria might be a senseless idea for most people. Anyone living abroad should understand that living abroad involves a lot of commitment and tolerance and not holding in one's head that you have "absolute rights" like the desendants of their adopted country.Arrogancy can make life difficult for some foreigners most especially we Nigerians abroad. Foreigners should be humble and ,diplomatic in their dealings to enjoy life abroad and do whatever legal jobs they have with joy and commitments. People are myopic! They find it inconceivable to think someone is returning home. Nigeria may be in bad shape now but some people are making a lot of money in Nigeria. However, many are in bad shape in Nigeria. Hence, its whatever pleases you. If you are earnings well and doing good, there isn't any reason relocating. Abroad isn't heaven so even if you must relocate, Nigeria is your home and nothing is wrong after making money abroad. It seems some people dont know how much or rich some people are in Nigeria. In all, if Nigeria isn't treating you well, you can relocate to get a better life

You're right, she's telling the truth. Aside from the racism, which in all honesty shouldn't be an excuse for anyone in the UK even in Nigeria its dose exist, but it is called a different name, i.e., discrimination. It's only when racism gets physical, then it becomes something else. Even those born in the UK of a different race do experience racism. So, there's possibly more not being told by her,except they just choose to move back to Nigeria, but racism shouldn't be used for an excuse moving back to Nigeria. As she said, they have been in the UK for the past 15 years, I can tell you, there are a lot one can do and get away with in those 15 years than you would in the last 10 to 8 years. And with all due respect, I'm not knocking or disputing all she's said and their decision and I wouldn't expect her to lay all her cards out in public. But please, people should stop using racism which isn't physical as an excuse for doing what they chose to do. These people are human too just as we all are humans and we have our other side as well. Truth is a lot has changed in the system, it's no longer business as usual in all sectors, if one do not have a support mechanism for as long as it may last, one just got to roll the dice. I'm sorry, the truth just got to be told, it's what it is. Anyone looking to make the journey, ENSURE you do the right thing and get it right on arrival. Best wishes...

We don't need to be deceived, people leave Nigeria to acquire enough money, traveling abroad is the best for now,,if a graduate working with Lagos State Government for 15 years doesn't collect up to 200k in a month,this is slavery

😂😂😂which course did dat graduate study abeg,u sure say na graduate? Wen people who haven't worked for even 5yrs earn more Dan 200k in Nigeria. Well it also depend on d field of study in school as I asked earlier
@mercurius6352
@mercurius6352 10 месяцев назад
@@vickyscorner24I would have to disagree with you there. As far as Nigeria is concerned, your field of study dosen't determine what job you get and neither does it determine your earnings. There are several graduate that are not even employed let alone earning up to 200k. Some group of medical students whom I came across when I interviewed them for research methodology stated that they ended up becoming self employed by practicing a trade because they had applied for several companies but didn't get accepted and result isn't the case either because they all came out with first class so what will you call that?? Even if you wanna compare those earning up to 200k within 5 years, they are way better compared to those whom are unemployed, the unemployment rate of s gradually increasing rapidly. Just because your law graduate with first class dosen't guarantee you automatic Job here in NIG. It dosen't work like that one bit, it all boils down to your connection with the country if not thinking you would get a automatic Job depending on your course is automatic red flag.

@@mercurius6352that's not true, if you graduate with a first class your automatically offered scholarship to masters program & also a lecturing job by your school , my younger sis graduated with a first class in law from Unn as she was awarded such opportunity, many universities in Nigeria do same , go and verify.

Another reason people that have good businesses here leave to find greener pastures as we call it, is the value of our naira, you will feel youre making good money until its time for you to travel for vacation, i mean to get just 1000 pounds is over 1m naira in just a short period, infact the value of our currency keeps falling fast, so youre making money in naira but becoming poorer when it comes do doing anything that involves converting to foreign currency, like she said she has a business over there thats probably footing her bills here so thats good for her

Well, what i can say is that she & her husband were very focused , they achieved their aim, got back & now enjoying their money . I like the part where she said think out of the box. The truth is most people japa without plans, they dont even think about skills or business they just rely on going there to work alone that is why you would see alot whom have worked for ages there without achieving alot. Salary can never be enough that is why in Nigeria you would see 9-5 workers having side hustle s even business people having my more than one businesses but once they move abroad they loose their hustling spirit & rely on only jobs. At 60, 70, 80 you should have achieved your aim of moving abroad & retire back to your country to rest & enjoy your wealth , that is what it should be but sadly many cant do that cos they didn't plan well.
