Why We Need Men Who Are Called | For the Love of the Church 

At Greenville Seminary, we hold a high view of the work of a pastor. Pastoral ministry is crucial, and training for the ministry must be rigorous. We dare not be careless with God’s word or ill-equipped to care for Christ’s church. Preparation takes time and energy, and hard study involves sacrifice - committing oneself to a great goal and high purpose.
Seminary is also a place of spiritual exercise, where men are challenged, both in and out of the classroom, toward growth in grace and development of personal holiness. Serving as an ambassador for Christ requires nothing less.
