I so agree with what you've said and I see a lot of other complaints saying the same thing with the cloud and all its dupes. 10 years from now everyone is going to say "OMG what were we thinking". Expensive, too low so hard to get up, always looks sloppy, constantly having to fluff it, etc. Too much work. And the down spreads out over time so the cushions compress and flatten.
To me, the cloud is perfect for a tv type media watching room. It’s in a separate room for laying down and taking snoozes or reading a good book with video playing of beautiful beach scenes. No need to fluff daily for looks!
Girl, I bought the ‘Plush’ sectional (100% feathers) from Value City based on someone on RU-vid-I never went to the store to see it…..I waited three mths for delivery and sold it a mth later (it was too low and very uncomfortable)!…..I went into Ashley Furniture to test out and buy the ‘Tanavi’ sectional (it is more structured with feather/fiber blend encasing a foam core) and I absolutely love it!
I watched a video on the Value City one as well and it looked way too soft. I'm glad you were able to sell it! It's wild how there are virtually ZERO negative reviews on that style of couch! That's great that you found the one you love. We ended up ordering a custom sectional from a local store. We just got it a week and it's made a huge difference on my back already. I can nap in my living room again!
@@HardeepSidhu yes ma’am to naps!….I knew i had finally found the one when I fell asleep the very 1st day on this sofa. ❤️….as for the ‘Plush’, they do now have a pillow option with a “foam core” instead of “100% feathers”, and it might be a little better. 🤷🏽♀️….but anyway, I’m so, so glad I decided to get rid of it and buy this one.
Us too. We got the dupe version from Bob's furniture which is exactly what Value City is. I was so disappointed. Too soft. My husband had a hard time standing up because it was too low. I'll check out the Tanavi!
@@zsuzsuspetals The ‘Plush’ also have the ‘Core Comfort’ cushions and I did inquire about those and they told me how to order them, but I was like it’s still too low and I knew I needed to go ahead and get rid of it (so glad it sold within 2 days on FB Marketplace)….I absolutely love the ‘Tanavi’, but unfortunately the price has increased - for the 3-piece sectional - I paid $1600 in January; it was marked down to $1200 for President’s Day (I called for a price adjustment but it didn’t “qualify”); and now it’s priced at $1900 😳, so you may want to wait for Memorial Day for another “event pricing”….but you will love it!
The Plush couch comes in 'feathered comfort' which is made of 100% real feathers and does not hold its shape, however they also offer the 'core comfort' which is a more firm and supportive foam cushion mixed with feathers that is more tailored and retains its shape after sitting on it. I went back and forth on the 2 ultimately deciding on the core comfort and I could not be happier. I don't believe the core comfort cushion was an option early on but for anyone that might be considering the plush couch and are worried about the comfort you might want to try the core comfort cushion vs the feathered.
I am so glad you shared this video! After trying a bunch of the dupes as much as I LOVE THEM and how soft they are, I could tell all of these things would be a problem over time. The problem is I don't know what to get instead! I really want something super comfortable for lounging. Ashley Furniture has two cloud-ish couches (Sophie and Tanavi) but I don't like the material. They have their own cloud couch dupes (Nixon and Grant sofa) which are exactly like the Sundays one but much cheaper. But I know I'll just run into the same issues that all the cloud couches have.
I just went recliner shopping today and while I was there I also looked at couch since we are in need of two of them. Before you buy ANY couch go sit on a Stressless, it was by far the most comfortable. I sent a pic to my wife and she didn’t want anything to do with it, she wants the trendy B.S. Cloud. She stated she didn’t want leather but they come in fabric as well. If she wants to fluff, flatten, pick up feathers daily knock yourself out, but I don’t want to here it while I’m relaxing in my Stressless Wing or Admiral recliner
It's so easy to just stuff your own cushions that you have already on your couch with whatever stuffing pleases you and there you go. You can make them as fluffy or not as you like?
I tried that and it resulted in uneven lumpiness. I even purchased new foam to replace the cushions, which were expensive and ineffective. Good thing I only tried it on one cushion before committing to the whole couch ($200 per cushion). I'm very glad we were able to sell it and get something more traditional, but totally encourage people to figure out what works for them if they want to hold onto theirs
I realized TONS of people are selling their cloud couch I wondered why it was such a short lived romance. This video perfectly explains it all. Looks like it’s a no go for me!
Hi Lisa. We ordered a Canadian-made sofa from a local business. We haven't received it yet, but we were able to customize it to something that's a bit taller than standard height, a gorgeous black/green colour - so we don't have to worry about getting it dirty and the cushions will be foam - so no regular fluffing needed! We can't wait to get it. Did you get the cloud couch (or dupe)?
Lol couch and sofas are all the same u can't make them any better or worse so then thousands of dollars vs hundreds is crazy on how much people pay it's all the same thing
