Why we've been MIA 

Fashionably late? That drives me nuts. If I tell friends or anyone 6 pm, please be on-time.

I hate to walk in late. I always felt that it was rude.

If your kids are in activities that you and Brad volunteer your time with, they will not mind you being around. My oldest son was in football and the football moms decorated their lockers each week. My two younger ones were in marching band, winter guard, jazz band, and concert band and we worked the football games and band camp. We were always around and traveled with the bands for their band competitions. I was a band chaperone and my husband was involved in transporting and setting up equipment for the band competitions. Kids would call us Momma Johnson and Papa Johnson from the band. We held various offices in the band organization. We knew their friends and they were too busy to hang out in their bedrooms with practice and competitions. They will want you guys around. I am like Brad. I do not like to walk in anywhere late. I was a middle school teacher for 38 years and I always taught my students that you should respect other people's time. If they say be here at 7, it doesn't mean 7:15 or 7:30. When we invite people over for dinner at 6 pm, I have the meal hot and ready to eat right on time.

No if I say we are eating at 6 then be there a little before 6. I always show up early and stay late to a friends house but a function like you are going to you can be a little late 5 mins maybe that's if dinner is served if it is come and go then show up when you want.
