Maddie, you CAN do both - mom and study/career. I have friends at uni who had babies whilst studying. In the big picture of life, the study takes up a small portion but sets you up financially for life. It is not a trade off, it’s not neglecting babies etc. it is about time management and the quality of time we spend with our children. Keep going, you are doing great x

You have given your career, home life, marriage, family, a great deal of consideration. I 100% agree with the ipad/screen time thing. My daughter used to watch SO much TV. Like probably at least 2 and a half hours a day. Now we're down to 30 minutes a day and it's been so awesome!!

Ryder is a doll❣️❣️I started my son on food at 3 months, cereal and then add a fruit to make sure he was t allergic to any specific food, and I made his baby food with a blender Mac and cheese, carrots. He loved garden food from my papaws garden, but my granny said you don’t feed babies fresh garden food until after the first year. I tried to grow my family but suffered 6 miscarriages after one live birth, um it was heart breaking and the one thing that tears me up inside is the age gap but I think about lil miss ev and I start feeling better!
I work in a medical lab at a Children's Hospital, and run the kids' lab tests and release the results. It's super fun and important since we call critical lab results. It would be a matter of getting an MLT (2 years) and then MLS (another 2 years) but really decent earnings, no malpractice insurance needed, and just overall great work-life balance because ALL work must stay at work so when you're home, that's your time! I wish I discovered this field before I got my bioengineering bachelor's because I can only make an MLT rate since I don't have a very very specific bachelor's MLS degree. Also, Perkins loans are forgiven for 5 years as a certified MLT.

Hey there :) Ive been a silent watcher but since I'm in med school with a baby and a similar view on life Ifeel like I can give some advice. The thing is I'm German so it's basically free for us and I've literally never thought about fees being a reason to not go. So sorry to hear that that's an issue. My husband is American though and we just had our first baby girl, so were thinking about moving to the states. Having a baby works very well with school, the professors have been so helpful and supportive so I feel like during/ before school is actually a good time for growing your family since it'll get stressful enough down the road (24h shifts etc.) The way you talk about medicine reminds me of myself so I'd really recommend going. Otherwise you'll probably regret it for the rest of your life and always wonder what it would've been like. Obviously only if theres a way with finances, but if theres a will theres a way, usually. I've been absolutely loving it and it feels like such an honor to learn about medicine. It makes me so happy and it feels like I'm doing something great with my life. That is definitely worth a lot of stress and a financial burden too, at least in my opinion.
I would really caution you about moving to the US. You have a much better support system in Germany for families than we have. I’d at least wait until your kids are older. We get very little time off and no support for parents. Kamala Harris is trying to make things better, if she’s successful maybe things will improve.
I'd caution you, many places in the workforce are not so friendly to those with babies. If you need to be out because your kid is sick or has an appointment, they give you a hard time about, want you to find someone else, etc. I swear I was treated so poorly by the girl who oversees us after I came back from having a baby. Then again, she doesn't have kids so she doesn't understand what it takes or the sacrifice.
Funding a great church family is so super important. I totally felt alone until I found my church family. I'm so proud of you for very a young mom and still getting your education. Your kiddos will see this and you will be an inspiration to both of them

Everyone's idea of what a large family is, is different. I came from a family with 6 kids but it definitely started to get chaotic once there were 4. But I think your definition of it is probably largely based on the family size you came from.

My dad passed away of a heart attack when I was six years old My mom had nine children and dad had 11 children when they married then they had four little girls together. So my mom had 13 children four of them would be my half sisters

Yeah I agree with screen time as children should be out side playing jumping in muddy puddle being creative and arty and socialising with others and communicating with family and understanding feelings etc. most now days are so rude and are so addicting to iPad and they won’t answer you when you try to talk to them.
That’s so awesome and just know that being a Christian or having a relationship with God it’s always going to have challenges it’s not easy. But we will almost always question God and we will almost always never understand or get an answer. Trusting God is having faith you need to trust God even when it’s hard but you need to trust in Him and your faith will grow.
Honestly having kids young seems like better time management than starting a career young and than having to stop in the middle of it for years to raise a family when you have less energy and fertility. I think more women should consider starting a career after raising a family, it just seems more efficient way to do it if you want both
Girl, I have as many kids as you want,im almost 22 and having baby #3, and im in a good position to be a sahm. Nothing wrong with staying home and cherishing the time you have with them while little!
I’m a 24 year old mom of 3 , I’m also in school, I definitely plan on having another baby in the next few years and I have an amazing social life outside of my kids. It’s amazing what we can manage to get done even while raising babies ❤
You are a great mom. I think it’s wonderful that you want more children. It’s never an easy balance juggling work and motherhood but you will find a way to make it work. Don’t worry about what the online trolls think. Just do what makes you happy. Motherhood is a rewarding job in and of itself! As moms we never give ourselves enough credit for the amazing job we do as moms! Debt is never a great thing, so you are smart to worry about getting into it. Avoid it if you can because once you are in it then it’s hard to get out. I think any job that you pick in the medical industry you can find happiness and a rewarding career. I relate to you hun. I was torn to shreds by claiming christians online and various of churches abroad. when i was married with children early on age 19 , had three in a row this was back in the mid 90's , i was treated like trash at churches, people feeling lead to attempt to bully me into obeying them in regards to my children , they called social services on me accusing me of things i would never do in the first place when i told them off to their face. my very own parents and sibling all treated me like trash, my sister 10 years older than me told me i took her right away to have the first baby as if that is more important than being a family and exampling Jesus to each other. I really won't get into the more ugly diasterous things they did to me and did to my children that are finally grown now and my parents both passed away a few years ago and i broke all ties with no longer my sibling that i so wished i could have done when my sons were born. They burned years i will never get back with my children but my sons are nearly age 30 now as my youngest is 25 yo. I am 48 yo. I surivved my first year stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and looking forward to what another year will bring. I have gotten close to Jesus again through it all. He never left me , HE saved me back when i asked him into my heart age 4. He stays true to his word when others do not. Others will lie about him to you they will abuse you using HIs name as a tool to beat you or destroy you with. They are under judgement , he is giving them time to repent but their days are numbered if they do not. if anyone starts their BS on you about who Jesus is or isnt , shut them down quickly and leave. Do not even break bread with them. They are ravenous wolves , vipers ,and snakes. Just continue on following the Good Shepherd and may His love have its perfect work in you.

PAs are such an integral part of the healthcare team!! If you’re going to go the PA route, I’d recommend not getting a different masters first just bc the PA degree is a masters! You can go into it from your bachelors and that way it equals less debt also!
Maddie you are totally valid. It's clear that you are doing well... perhaps some people would be better off minding their business instead of trying to advise you!
I don't think there's anything bad about going ahead and having more kids while still at a somewhat young age, when you're already managing parenting the kids that you have well. Having a baby at 14 probably wouldn't work out well for the majority of people, but seems like it's so far worked out well for you and her, so....*shrugs*
Hi Maddie, I love your channel. I just want to say that your face literally lights up when you talk about medical school. Not that you have to go, but don't let the fear of debt hold you back. I have a family member who is a surgical PA and while it's a great career, they literally make 1/10th of what surgeons in their field make. So you will make back the money and more. Plus, radiologists and psychiatrists can both work remotely and make amazing salaries. But you'll know what's best for you. Just want to encourage that sometimes it takes an investment to do what you love. Best of luck with everything ❤️

Heyy Maddie! I just wanted to leave this info here for you incase you see it but as a stay at home mom also I had recently missed my medical field job (I used to work as a tech in the ER) so I went into looking at something I could do from home that was in the same line of helping people and I found the life of insurance! I took a class online and then i took my state test and now I sell from home on my own time and I’m able to have my kids on my lap if needed be! There’s also a bunch of other benefits that you can get like once you decide to stop selling you’ll make a profit from people you bring in! Definitely something that might be worth your time if you’re feeling like you want to help people out in the medical field without leaving home! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
i love the path you’ve chosen! i’ve listened to psychologists speak on career vs children and one of them said it so beautifully - you will never get your child’s early years back, but you will get to/have to work for the rest of your life. in other words, your job can wait, your babies can’t. they will grow up to know you put them first when it was most important to. 🤎
I don’t know about the US, but in Australia, pathology and radiology are completely different courses compared to “medical school” to become a doctor and is a LOT cheaper! - someone who nearly did a BA in radiology 8 years ago but chose a different route

Hi! I got my PhD while working full-time and with a young baby. It's hard work but it can happen (it took me 10 yers). Just loosen your expectations a bit for everything. Also, go be a doctor if you want to! You only have one life. Just take your time. You don't get an award for getting to your destination first. Also don't worry about debt as a doctor. You make a lot of money...

My mom was similar. She had me at 19 my sister at 21 and my little brother at 22 she said she wanted kids in her early 20’s so she could experience new things with her children as they did too
My mom had 11 kids, but she has 12 (she adopted my younger brother) and I want 4 kids when I’m older 😅 but I’ve never thought of five kids as a lot because I come from a really big family 9:58
Suggestion: consider going to nursing school to become a nurse practitioner. There are programs that you can apply to after you finish your Bachelor's degree. NPs treat patients and can prescribe just like PAs but they need less doctor supervision.
Grace is important. Your body has done this amazing thing, growing a person, twice! It only makes sense that your body will be different after that. Going to extreme with food probably wouldn't undo that anyway.
I been on my spiritual journey sence the end of 2019 but it's a journey without going to church I still believe in God but just believe different things
