& no one will give a jot if someone in Japan openly praises (& indeed many do) the enormities wreaked by their war criminals in WWII on the nations which were besieged. As someone who lived in their neighboring Asian nations growing up, I do not care if their birth rate totally collapse. And no one there will.

Many historians consider the Sino-Japanese War to not be a part of WW2, but a separate conflict that was going on in parallel.

They always thinking Asia theater is between china and Japan but they forgot about the attack of pearl harbour and the offensive on western colonies in Hong Kong,southeast Asia happened on the same day. Maybe the attack on pearl harbor is the most risky one compare to their offensive in southeast Asia which have little resistance from allied soldier which seems quite boring compared to the European theater.

Because better sense prevailed. Period. (at least in the Western/European theatre) There, I saved 9 mins of your lives! P.S.: The chemical weapons were the nukes of that era, and their non-first-use was similar to the MAD strategy/philosophy during the Cold War.

This video is inaccurate as Japan in fact used chemical weapons a lot in China in Sino-Japanese war / WWII.

The Sino-Japanese War is not generally recognised as being an integral part of WW2 but a separate “local” conflict that overlaps WW2. Therefore the video isn’t inaccurate.

@@neilturner6749 I’d agree it’s indeed a separate conflict from 1937 until Dec 1941… thereafter it’s considered merged as part of broader WWII. And yes there are documented chemical weapons use by IJA in mainland Asia after Dec 1941.

They used the atomic bomb on civilian populations at the end of WW2? Talk about misleading propaganda, they could have said it ended WW2, which was more accurate.
