You've made some excellent points, Kenna. Women need more than just the institution of marriage; they need connection and attention, which many men in Africa are unable to provide. Additionally, cheating is alarmingly common and accepted in Cameroon. A woman can tolerate a lot, and often does, but when she finally gives up, it says a lot.
Men have always had power and opportunity. Women have tasted and like it. So any perceived threat will make them walk away,since they have been empowered. Man on the other hand has always been empowered so he stays put.
I totally disagree. This is exactly how most African men think so they refuse to listen and that finally it frustrates the woman and she leaves. It’s not about the power. If you treat a woman right she wouldn’t even think of power.

Emotional intelligence is not emotional maturity. It's just awareness. Females tend to score higher than males on EQ skills like empathy and other awareness. On the other hand, males tent to score higher on emotional control and wellbeing. Women have low emotional control, they are not strategic. The act on impulse. They easily have buyer's remorse. That's why a man will work into a s tore, buys his things and leaves. A woman will stay in the store for hours buying things she doesn't need and spending a lot of time making decisions. She is back to the store the next day returning things she bought. They don't tend to understand loyalty. Their love for a partner is more of a transactional one. Case in point: Will Smith and Jada Pinkett. How many men will sleep with his daughter's girlfriend?

I agree with the fact that emotional intelligence is not emotional maturity and like I said because of this they(women) can easily detect a problem but a man will think it was nothing. For your transactional and loyalty comment I completely disagree. I think women are more loyal that is why it is more difficult to see a woman cheating on her partner for fun than men. Talking about Jada her affair is loud cos she is popular men do things like that everyday without even blinking twice
I find women need attention constantly, validation and drama. When you seize to provide these, they will get bored especially the emotional ones. Then you're done and dusted
