Great tutorial. I thought I had the wrong glue but I see I was at the wrong temp. I have lacquer paint; any special considerations there?

Thanks I was wondering what the temperatures should be and when to pull. Now when pulling a dent, do you first start at or around the crown? Or the Not so crowned area? I’ve always got confused. I am new to the Hot and Cold Glue PDR. Any help will do much appreciated! 🤝

On smaller dents (hail damage/door dings) you always want to place the tab right in the deepest part of the dent. You want the shaft of the tab right in the deepest part of the damage. On larger more complex damage, sometimes it is easier to section them off into smaller dents, and pull just inside the crowns of the dent in order to create metal flow. Repeat the process until you have a dent you can pull with one tab. When using GPR, we want to reverse the damage so that we can come in with our knockdown and correct the metal that has been over pulled. I hope this makes sense.

@@KECOBodyRepairProducts Thanks. Appreciate the response. That’s where I get a little confused on where to start. Whether start at the crown or the damage below that. I’d love to learn and practice. I don’t have many PDR’s near me and I’ve so many people wanting me to do bodywork which I have done for 7 years, but not a really clean place to paint. So I figured this would be the next best thing. I mean I don’t want to fight against myself doing PDR and not doing it in the right order or steps.

@@jamesbarlowjr.3762 Always start pulling below the crown. We want to create a high spot by pulling the lows. After we have done that, we want to knock down that high spot using the knockdowns, and then repeat the process if necessary.

@@KECOBodyRepairProducts Awesome response! That makes so much better sense. I’ll definitely give that a shot! Just wasn’t the steps to be taken. Thanks So Much! 🤝
