Why World of Tanks PC is BETTER and WORSE in 2021 - PC Vs Console 

the thing i like about console is that it has a bigger variety of tanks, lots of tanks that were removed of pc are still on console

One major thing that you left out on the comparison was the User Interface difference between the 2. The PC version is far, far superior in that realm. Things like commander swapping, getting detailed reports, comparison of several tanks, how crews/commanders differ, etc. There is so much more you can do in the PC version that there really is no comparison between the 2. As an interface designer myself, I was flabbergasted as to what in the hell WG was thinking when they basically destroyed the UI in their console in version 6.

I tried PC but I really don't want to grind all over again, really wish they gave us an option to move some of our progress to PC, I understand not everything can be moved properly so getting some free xp, silver and gold would be nice.

I am incontrovertibly a console player. Why? Two words: Physical comfort! I enjoy being comfortably ensconced in my recliner, watching the game on my 54" television screen, and having all the game controls in one handy little device. As opposed to sitting at a desk, staring into a monitor screen, and moving a mouse around while hitting keys on a keyboard. I've worked with computers since 1985, both professionally and personally, and have played a myriad of games on PC. But I'm tired of being "tied to a desk," so to speak. I much prefer to kick back in comfort while I blow up strangers and be blown up by them, as well! So, others are free to choose what's right for them, of course, but as for me, 3 1/2 decades of mouse moving and keyboard pecking while sitting at a desk are soooooo a thing of the past! Don't have a good enough PC so will stick to console. It's a shame WG can't colorborate more with the development staff to help bring content to console, or at least trouble shoot bugs so they don't take so long to resolve. Just think 6.0 could have been completely different if they had more firepower behind it...

i think the console its easier for new players with the colored outline chance of penetration, but has less density on the maps so its harder for tanks that needs camouflage thus making armor more valuable, its a different meta. Also the communication in console makes it harder to coordinate and sometimes players tend to lemming one flank leaving the other wide open resulting in a loss in less then half match time while you either go alone and die outnumbered or follow the lemmings and make no difference in the outcome (at least thats my personal experience)...

If wargaming want to attract players and keep players on console stop the arrogance of I know what you want and give us our game back. Graphics card are hard to get hold of so console is a better option but not this cheap ass 6.0 version.

I have noticed that the grind in pc is shorter because You dont have to grind every single module for a tank, so thats a plus. But sadly they removed the waffle from pc (which was My goal on pc imo) i guess i have to get the jagdpanzer e100 when i have purchased My pc in a few months.

Good comparison! I played over 10K battles in WOT PC before joining to WOTc. My preference is WOTc anyday !! I like graphics on my Xbox1x than the PC, as you said silver economy is way better on console, PC never give away tier 8 premiums for free even missions are almost impossible to complete unless until you you make it a daily job. I like how console give away tanks for almost free. Definitely pc has more content, missions , game mode etc. Console is designed for casual players and I like how they implemented true vision in cold war mode. I hope they give permanent silver and xp bonus to CW mode! I am also seeing lots of hate for CW which was expected as it is not a complete product yet.. more like a beta version... Probably that's why we are not seeing any marketing for CW from WGc. @eclipse Can you make a video/poll on how to make CW better and what community wants for CW (from the one who plays this mode... they need to put wot console on pc gamepass. the graphics are a joke on console, and the 30fps doesn't improve it.

I started PC some time ago... but I just can't be bothered with doing all the grind all over again. On Console I started reaching tear 9s and tier 10s while on PC I would have to go through aaaaall the low tier tanks again 🙈😭. Edit: but... the PC Graphics hot god daaamn its so so good looking in 4k. I'm really hoping it will look much better on PS5.

I played on my friends high end pc and much prefer the game on an X Box Series X with the updated console maps. Sixty frames per second on the Series X is a huge improvement. The graphics look very good and are amazing on Cao Bang especially. It just seems like a much funner game on console.

Appreciate the video. I am a "was Xbox" player until the massacre I mean update. What I've never understood is why WG never merged PC and Xbox. Xbox literally is windows 10 code and most other games can play on Win10 except WoT which is intentionally blocked. If WG would have gone that route, it would be very easy to do dev and have it work for both "outlets" - Xbox and PC. They should have made the change, pulled the band aid off and pulled the Xbox version towards or into the PC version - except with a controller. SMH. Still.

I have played on both PC and console for 2 years or more on each and I find that Console is just more fun and you actually make more credits on console than PC.

Nice, been waiting for this . You need credit boosters, I use them whenever I play. You are doing things the right way by the looks of things, learning a couple tanks at a time. I probably had 100 or tanks by 500 games, each with a terrible wr cos I didn't take the time to learn them properly. Great video , will be good to see how an experienced player progresses step by step. 👍👍

Hi Eclipse! Chek in your game. I got some father day tank inscriptions went to set up them and noticed ALL is showing as 0 gold permanent ones. I mean 0 it is well everyone would grab! Right? So what happened. After 4th i noticed my gold was deducted by 600. I was wtf! Yes and it show on log list to as purchased 4 x 150. I straight was on and opened ticket. They refunded without even asking for additional information as usual. I don't know it is scam or game glich or something. Anyway heds up and keep it up mate! Cyberbulat-p WOT tag

You can get an Xbox one X for $260 used and need no Xbox live subscription to play wot console, lay on your couch and play on your 4k TV 😂 or you can try to buy an $820-$1100 3060 ti just for the graphics card only no PC included 😂 spend another $1,000+ for the rest of the PC 😂 then build it then you have to get a gaming monitor so add $200-$300, gaming mouse $50, gaming keyboard $50, gaming mat $20, a PC desk and chair and a room to put it 😂then you can play on PC 😂. Of course if you have $3,000 to play one game then sure PC is better, slightly 😂

a $400 aud pc will run wot at 1080p on high, 60fps to be fair. 1k pounds is well off. Buy a used office pc with at least an i5 6400, 16gb ram and get an r9 280x/hd7970 + a 500w power supply. Done. $400, 60fps wot on high.

PC version will run ultra on half a decade old hardware, even older. What are you even talking about this nonsense about prices. I know its an old video but it still is wrong. Console people have this stupid image in their head that unless you have latest and greatest PC hardware its not worth it even when in reality budget PC is cost effective and performs similar if not better than consoles. Buy parts for 500-600€, build it yourself and you have a PC which is equivalent if not better than PS5/Xbox. Can go even lower and still run it fine on ultra settings

My largest gripe by far with console is lack of the " commander " viewport. For example : on pc if you're looking around and you zoom in, you zoom in where you are looking, not where your gun is. Then, the gun rotates at its usual speed to match the camera. On console, it just slaps you into the barrel and snaps your view to wherever the hell it's facing at the time. Very shitty system if you ask me. All it takes is to change the properties of the current camera and how it reacts relative to the gun position. Doubt it's easy, but the current system just seems lazy as hell. PC has a definite win ( though much more toxic player base )

I am gonna switch to console, much easier to play there. A very new player here and I refuse to sit for 400h and be at the same level of capability as when I started, It's not also that I play the game religiously. Very hard newcomer expirience. I run a big company and usually am playing in late hours, at that point I used my head the entire day and pretty much by the time I get online I am mentally tired and don't feel like using my brain. Altough what I do does not matter, a lot of people work 9/5 jobs and feel the same way aswell. Games should be mad simple, hell competitive games should't exist or be liked that much at all, it is just that 90% of humanity have not evolved so all of them have to constantly "improve" to prove to themselves that they are capable because let's be honest here outside of the game they are quite miserable and powerless, when you take a look at what choices they have made in their life it just shows pure insecurity that nobody seems to be aware of so they run from the truth that they choose to exist in such a miserable manner. It is okay to improve, but if your entire fun and enjoyment is entirely dependant on you improving, go to the therapist and solve your little insecurities before getting into gaming at all, that is at least what I always tell people before doing anything significant really, focus shifts to the expirience and fun instead of any kind of need to show off (stats) or self improvement so you can prove to yourself that you are AT LEAST powerful enough that you understand that you exist. I helped many people to enjoy games as toys and not second jobs. If anyone is a simple minded person and not willing to think much when gaming I recommend the console version of WOT, faster progression, people I saw there are not as skilled as in WOT PC so you have a chance to be impactful with a small amount of thinking, there is not as much grinding for crews because you grind only the commander, and there is PVE as an permanent gamemode so you have an option to sit back, relax and almost mindlessly go pew pew without worrying about being destroyed in 2 seconds because you showed 3 pixels through a bush. Also I like console graphics more, more vibrant and colorful. - Ethan

I stated playin' wot on pc, in 2012. And i got on console on 2020. I gotta say that the pc version is not that friendly '-'. The graphics on the console were actually muuuch better before the implementation of havoc engine on the pc.

I would honestly pay no more than 25 € for a complete game in which you don't need to fire gold, use premium equipment and consumable, premium accounts and play with premium tanks to earn silver in WoT. I am getting tired with the whole pay to win model and the scandalous amount of time demanded by the game for something as simple as daily missions.

Star playing world of tanks pc back in 2012 I still do I all so play Console world of tanks but 6.0 killed big time and the Development team has no idea what they're doing for console now the game is dieing on consoles big time is been 6 Months and they haven't fixed anything really at all paingod should be Fired immediately Same with Community relays on officer as well

Wot pc is far superior than wot console. I’ve played on console for 7yrs, I’m now playing more on pc. Nvidia RTX 3070 on best settings makes the game look awesome. Your video is spot on, great content. Keep it up.

its worse then console, harder and has invinci tanks console is more ballanced has time limits and has modern armor they really need to port over the system on console to pc as im tired to fighting tanks that cant be killed or tanks that hide and cant be found. id rather play the ai, humans are difficult in console but worse on pc. console for the win!

Ive noticed PC is lot more hardcore, higher skill cap in many ways like if you don't have a trained crew on PC you're pretty much screwed until you train one up. Like console atleast let's you know when your spotted sort of with the little exclamation even without having a crew but 6th sense just makes it that much better but yea I agree graphics and overall experience is better on PC but start completely over is not my idea of a good time haha

Would like to hear your thoughts on gun handling between the two platforms. Seems like cupola shots on PC are very much easier than on console. Also the ability to move back and forward with great precision to bait opponents is more practical on PC?

PC graphics are definitely better! I don't know if it's the same on PC, but on console (Xbox one), my E100 has been bouncing shots alot lately. I wonder if it got nerfed.

I switched from WOT Xbox to WOT PC october 2018 after 23K battles played on Xbox. Biggest adjustment hurdles for me were: #1 WASD. I never really liked keyboard movement so I use a Nintendo leftside JoyCon for tank movement in conjunction with a Razer mouse for aiming and shooting #2 Lines of fire on WOT Console maps are more numerous and more forgiving than on PC. So if you are a TD fan you will need to work/learn harder to find ideal long range lines of fire. Also, Auto-Target on PC feels a little more finicky than on Console #3 Teams. Although it was indeed possible on WOT Console to have streaks of awful games, on the WOT PC Hong Kong server, a majority of your team mates will be WR 46%ers. Yes, that bad. Prepare to carry a lot (on WOT Xbox I was an overall WR 57% player 23K battles played, with tons of RadleyWalter, Pools and Kolobanov medals. #4 WOT PC acknowledged issues. Wargaming PC admits that there is a physics system issue with rocky terrain; ergo, rocks are slippery as ice and that's quite often a real problem during gameplay, especially if you are still learning every nook and cranny of the WOT PC maps. They acknowledged the issue, but it seems they're unable to fix it anytime soon. #5 WOT PC at least has Bootcamp for new players to learn the basics of gameplay mechanics. I have a PC that would run WOT but I just really don't want to trudge through the tech trees again.

Wish WG would have somekind of Cross-Save system, i get that Things Like mercenaries dont exist on PC but still I Startet wot on PC years ago, after a Few years i switched to console because i prefer gaming on console. Overall i think PC is better, but console isnt Bad by any means. I realy hate the visual diffrence tho, the Menu Screen on console is garbage and you cant even customize the hud realy. Just make the two Games Look the Same, at least the Icons and hud Elements.

I play on console and there are alot of things that i hate about the game like not having contracts but the main 3 things i hate is 1:we dont have enough maps, 2:garage ui sucks, 3: lazy developement team, they really should start working on ww2 aswell, i feel like they only focus on cw where are maybe 5% of the playerbase

Youll get the hang of the sixth sense. Youll even get better at console because of it aswell. The crew system while more difficult to aquire is way more rewarding aswell. I dont agree that everything needs to be dumbed down for console

Bit shame when the mobile version of the game has better overall mechanics and a better rewarding system than the console.... not to mention the clan and tournament support

I live the spotting mechanic on PC , you cannot just rely on a little thing telling you instantly that youre being seen/aimed at. The fact you have to have some game sense in wot pc makes it so much harder but so much more rewarding
