Why WWE Universal Title Is Officially Finished 

The amount of money that wwe spends on lesnar they could be using it for so much more like: 1) bring back pyros 2) actual unique ppv sets 3) better writers 4) womans tag titles and tag team talents 5) promoting big ppvs in cities 6) extra money for the XFL 7)Vinces retirement party So many things you could spend to make your show better going down the drain with lesnar.

If its true then could WWE make a new world championship with the eagle design?

Why? Because they are only limiting the title to guys like lesnar or strowman. Vince's "big sweaty men" policy is what's killing the main roster right now. If they put the title on guys like finn or owens then we could start to get some good story lines and then maybe turning finn heel could help him a lot to put him back in the title hunt.

Hell, the video game had a great idea for scenarios like this. We couldn't fight for a belt so we made our own. Make Dean Ambrose create his own belt and build it so high that it becomes legit and him and Seth can destroy each other over it. Lol

This title is why Raw isn’t good as it was 10-20 years ago. When the “Monday Night War” was on the WWE/WWF Championship along with the other titles mattered more. Even the Hardcore Title was fun with the ole 24/7 rule. Universal Championship is the reason why it’s killing its own show. Fans didn’t like it then nor do they like it now.

Change the belt, change its name, and dont let Brock Lesnar ever have it

Drew should win the title at wrestlemania and then the next night on raw he should “Throw away” the title and debut a new world heavyweight championship. & exactly like the rock did. The universal title is a toy doesn’t look like a real belt.

The fact that the Universal Title is rarely seen only makes it MORE prestigious. Having the champion appear week after week, and defending it on tv, or fighting in multi-man matches only diminishes the title and makes him appear weak. What they’ve done with Brock is brilliant because it makes you want MORE and makes his matches special. The negative, as you correctly pointed out, is that they don’t even mention Brock’s or the title’s existence during their absences. Establishing the next contender would help, so that they can start promoting his next match. Showing training clips, personal appearances outside of Raw, or just interview segments would help keep him top of mind and increase the value of the title.

Seriously Simon... The champ needs to be at every show because he is the champion... WWE is not the UFC or a boxing organization. Lesner will go down as one of the worst people to ever work in the business because he never cared about it. So, let’s end that talk about Lenser being one of the best. The show sucks and it needs a champion. BTW: they might as well kill the Universal Title off, the belt is dead and no one cares at this point

I find Simon immensely amusing. Very funny, natural in front of the camera. Terrific stuff. As far as the title, I don't even think about it. I never see it on Raw. Out of sight out of mind. I think a heel Ambrose vs Lesnar feud for the title could be really cool, or just have a match to pass the title on to someone else. To start 1. Announce Lesnar on Raw some week (soon) 2. Heyman Promo 3. Strowman comes out + promo 4. Have like 10-15 people come out of nowhere from the stage and crowd dressed like the Shield on their debut 5. Make them surround the ring 6. Have them all pull gas masks out (signify Dean Ambrose) (hopefully huge pop) 7. Have Dean come out and they all ambush Lesnar and create a title match soon.

I am a believer that a world championship belt should be prominently featured on a show with major story lines and title defenses on the show itself. That is why the WWE championship with Daniel Brian as the holder feels way more relevant than the Universal title, because Daniel Brian was all over that show with his feud with AJ Styles, whereas Raw felt like just a bunch of random matches at a house show.

They should retire the title and bring in another past belt to be raws top prize. Unfortunately with the size of the raw and smackdown rosters there's too much talent to warrent 1 belt as there's too many that deserve a world title match.

hey remember when: -ppvs werent named after a match? -Raw was considered the superior show -Every title looked unique? (out of the 8 main titles only 2 dont like another belt) -we did not know if or when we were getting a hell in a cell, tlc, etc in a given year
