Rough Country gets torn apart on the forums. However, many people don't know how far they have come in the last 15 years and how you can get a great quality lift for not a lot of money.

I’m a geologist by trade and do off-roading on a daily basis. I am currently on a contract in the Nevada desert. I drive 45 miles on a gravel road to site. Once on site, I drive on makeshift 2 tracks and sometimes no road in the mountains. I drive a RAM 1500 Classic. Your vid convinced me to get Rough Country. I have absolutely no idea why anybody would complain about #RoughCountry. It’s a fantastic product. I have the N3 leveling struts on the front and the V2 shocks on the back. With OEM by mid day, I had to let my truck sit for 2 hours to get my ride quality back. With Rough Country, I go all day long, week after week, no matter what the road conditions. I, as a person who uses my truck for work and off-roading everyday, strongly recommend this product. I am not sponsored. I have no affiliations with Rough Country. I am just very impressed with this amazing product and will recommend it to anyone who asks

Nice to see a good comment about RC. Any specific reason you used V2s in the back and no the N3 or M1 shocks?

@@007Knightjp Hey Julian, I definitely can't speak for Riaan, but I am about to do 3.5 inch RC lift w/ N3 lifted struts and V2 rear shocks bc the N3 should offer a softer feel for longer washboardy roads that I'll be driving. The V2 should provide a more performance firmer feel and I will often have weight in my truck bed so I'm hoping the V2 is the way to go in the rear to help with rear bounce/chatter on rough roads at higher speeds. Also, RC offers packages with N3 front and V2 rear. Maybe that answers a bit for ya!

@@kriss7970 Thank you for the reply. I've looked at the Rough Country site and lift kits on there show the N3 shocks for the rear as standard. V2s are an added option. I would like to know why some suspension shops suggest V2s for the rear. Maybe its better or maybe its just to make a sale. I'm thinking I would try the N3s all round for my application and then see how that goes.

@@007Knightjp Hey Julian! Ya, every driver is different and needs a different setup. The vast majority of reviews I've seen online are from guys that lift purely for looks... I wash my truck maybe once a year lol I would think the N3 shocks would be fine on all four corners for 99% of drivers. I do need to drive similar to the original poster in our thread so I def will be on longer off road hauls with weight in the bed and cab. I have a Sierra 1500 2014 and RC actually has a sku for each combination of suspension lift so that's what I was referring to :) For example, the N3/V2 3.5 lift for my truck is sku 19471. If you enter that in the RC site search bar it should pop ad the setup I'm getting as a package. I can let ya know how it goes, I should have it on in mid January.... ish :))

@@kriss7970 Sounds good.. Look forward to your review. I've currently got a BSD 4" kit on my Ram 1500. Considering the front lift is done with spacers on the stock strut, I thought of upgrading to full on 4" coil overs and while I'm at it, upgrade the shocks in the rear as well. My thoughts were to have all 4 shocks from the same brand and type. I've seen mixed reviews of the N3 shocks and all the stuff from Rough Country. I've even seen videos that clearly show the N3s are made in China. Now being made in China is not necessarily a bad thing. Quite a lot of stuff is made in China these days, but the idea doesn't shout out "quality".

I have 2021 GMC 3.0L diesel and have a 4” lift. The ride is great and straight. I’m happy with the product and would buy it again.

Thanks for the info. I am 50years old but never lifted a truck before. A shop I trust recommended Rough Country 3,5 kit with upgraded struts and shocks. I was a little nervous because of what I read online about RC but honestly the reviews were actually very good and now after this video I am comfortable with my decision. Thanks !

I've had 2 rigs with 4" RC lifts, one on a Chevy and one on a ford. Off roaded the hell out of both with no problems. Just ordered a 4" lift for my 88 Bronco.....

Thank you for your review. After seeing many positive vids on RC and knowing someone personally that had a 6 inch RC lift on a silverado since 2013 with no issues, my mind is set, I'll be getting the 6" RC lift with N3 struts on My 2012 nissan titan pro4x. Thanks again!!

These are all great videos. Subbed as well. I’ll be getting a tundra later in the year and I was looking at the RC vertex 6 inch lift. So I’m gobbling up at the vertex info I can. Would love to see some off road videos and opinions. I know you’ve mentioned it in passing but I’m talking about a more focused video on off road. I’m not going to be crawling or anything, but I’d like to go off the beaten path and hit trails that may be rocky or washed out and know that my suspension kit is reliable. Also I will be towing a black series trailer with me which is another reason why no crawling lol. But out of the way boon docking is what I want.

Let's face it, most people don't lift their trucks to go rock crawling. Most lifted trucks barely get off the pavement, I personally am getting a 6" RC Lift for S.E. Texas hi water floods. People have different needs and although I do go off roading sometimes, I don't Subject my truck to MUD BOGGS, And for me a R.C. 6" lifts is perfect and cost effective 👍💯

well, RC is still doing incredible business because I think I'm on a waiting list for the N3 struts for my frontier (not complaining) RC are the only guys as far as I know who sell frontier struts that fit my titan swap. no other shocks will do this without a spacer. Now complaining. I needed to know weight of the struts and size of the box to ship it. I got no response after several attemps E-mail. they need to work on communication.

Maybe their shocks will be a good shock u can buy that is cheaper but reliable shocks???? Time will tell. Everyone i know who has had a rough country lift kit wishes the jst baught a BDS lift kit instead of rough country.

Rough country for life they have a line up of shocks from cheap to expensive no need to brake the bank when you lift your truck the shocks they offer compete with bds fox shocks coil over rough country has the vertex coil overs and not every one wonts/needs the coil overs rough country V2 shocks with an aluminum body will outperform stock every time and at such an affordable price
