I recently came across a class on Skillshare made by productivity guru Ali Abdaal where he claims to help you "hack jazz" and "sound like a pro". I give my honest impressions on the idea of "jazz hacks" and encourage my fellow musicians to keep striving towards true mastery of their craft.

no disrespect towards any other sax players tryna earn a living but when you're not trying to sell a product or a program the advice is so much more straightforward, haven't been able to find this quality of content nearly anywhere else on youtube

Seems like learning a few useful phrases in French before going on vacation to Paris. It in no way means you are a French speaker! You just know a few short phrases to communicate simple ideas…….much like what he is demonstrating with these “hacks” in jazz piano. It in no way means you can’t go forward and learn in more depth later.
