My closet has come to a screeching halt. I have sold nothing in about 6 days. It’s scary and d we pressing and I can’t see what I could be doing wrong.

Thank you! I saw one posher whose closet has a bunch of Beware Of This Closet listings. Reading it looked ridiculous, like the bully made a listing saying stay away from a certain closet because someone’s grandma was sick and had to travel thus had to cancel a sale. Another showed the bully asking the posher to list more of certain types of items so said bully could take advantage of bundling. The posher was like where do you suggest I get items you may want to buy, just to list for you? The bully posher looks nuts.
This makes sense, I also did not know it was a thing however, I have had to cancel a few orders over the last few months because I was reorganizing and couldn't find the items. Nothing has ever happened before but 2 weeks ago I had another one that I had to cancel and I had NO sales, no likes, no offers or anything for the full week and have just started slowly getting those back however I lost SO many sales. Totally my fault and forced me to go over my whole closet to make sure I can find but jeez....now I know :) Thanks again for sharing your great knowledge!!
Hmmm I'm not totally convinced that cancels slow sales. I do cancel at least 1 a wk, most times from buyer. If you do select buyer will bundle with other order, and that shoudl avoid. But again not covinced there is a correlation.
New to Poshmark. Just hit 6 month mark. Everything going well, getting lots of great reviews. All reviews have been 5-Star with only one 4.9 star rating in the mix. Yes, we try very hard to please and make buying from us a good experience. Yesterday, I went to log in and all my listings are gone. Vanished. My bot vendor says not them...Posh did it. No email from Posh...nothing. What does this sound like to you? Ironically, it happened the same day someone received a high end item. My fear is that this person is someone scamming us with Posh. I fear they are going to send Posh a fake and say we mailed that fake when we did not. Any insight for me? Thank you!

This is not discrimination. You actually can’t ship purfume with the labels they provide. It goes against posh policy. They just never caught you before. Look up items prohibited to sell on poshmark.
@TabsMcCaffrey I just read their rules as long as it is new, never used in sealed original order..and there are over 278 similar items for sale as well, they just sent me a complete listing from body and bath, and the page has ALL the same things!! I have reported on others but yhe only one they stop is me
@@SusanWidem Nail polish, perfumes, and aerosols, health and wellness products (ex: diet supplements, protein powder, body wraps and breast pumps) and items making medical claims (i.e. N95 masks). Items must be new, alcohol-free and aerosol-free.
At Poshfest, they had developers available to chat with sellers. They said it’s better to completely repost an item new (instead of copying a post to relist). Sometimes if I’ve sent my lowest offer to my most liked items, I will go through the labor of relisting is fresh. Anyhow, not 100% shadow ban related but kinda… thanks Tabs!
@@TabsMcCaffrey agree, that’s why I focus on my most liked 3-5 items a couple times a month, especially if the items feel hot seasonally & I’ve run out of rock bottom offers. Otherwise I rely on PS to do all that busy work.
Thank you for this. I think I was just shadow banned for attempting to copy an item. I learned that you can’t bundle different sizes of the same listing and decided to just post each individually so people could bundle them. As soon as I hit copy listing all of my listings became unable to load. Broke my heart!
@@liaandliammay just be their glitchy app. I swear sometimes I think I’m being throttled in some way, but I’ve asked support in the past and they say it’s glitches.
Hi Tabs! Thanks for this video - I had no idea that you could get shadow banned. I think that I got shadow banned today but I'm unsure why, so I reached out to customer support. I was editing some listings that I had in my Drafts but it wouldn't let me list it -- Then when I went to check out My Closet, all my listings were gone :( Also, what are the best automation apps? I just downloaded one today & I'm curious about the best one that you've used.
Yep! It’s a thing. As for automation I have links below. I use posh sidekick, fantastic extras to automate posh and they also have da crosslisting software called crosslisting. Links below for both. I use and highly recommend
Thanks for this! I just spent the morning starting my closet and listing my first items. I had some people start sharing my items which was great and I thought Boom! I'm getting this right. Now, all of a sudden my closet has disappeared and I have no idea what I did wrong. I did reach out to support, so I guess I'll just wait. Lol Just when you think things are going well...
Also, I don't think I did any of the things in your video, so who knows. Does this sound like I've been shadow banned? I guess this will be a learning curve.
Thanks for the advice. I didn't even know there was a thing called shadow banned. I don't think I would need to worry about the share thing as I still don't really get how that works. I'm still very green to using Poshmark so I'm always thankfully to learn something about it.
I use Auto Posher which shares my listings for me, I've felt safe with an AI sharing in the background. Not saying to use Auto Posh, Because ultimately I think that any AI sharing tool will help. But having at least one of those tools can share your closet to the maximum without causing you to get on the bad side of poshmark. Also were lucky in the fact that if your simply looking for a program that will share and that's about it you can get those AI programs for free just to have the sharing feature. Auto Posher has a free version i think also that Flyp is free and will share your closet. I know for sure there's many others, I wont say ones better than the other because I haven't tried them all. But just having one will help lessen your stress in many ways.
I had some crazy lady on Poshmark report all my listings. I think maybe a year ago- I offered on some dresses and she said something crazy, like she had to go look at her spreadsheet or something and I told her never mind on the sale. She’s stalked me ever since- I get shares and likes but I think I’m banned because the sales are just not happening

So Posh flagged me & my poshmark is completely shut down now 😢 they say it’s active now but it won’t let me list! It’s a NIGHTMARE! OH me god all I can do is laugh but honestly I’ve been depressed over it and I need to pull myself together! Thank you for posting a video in your time of grief ❤
Hey Tabs just wondering if you turn off Posh Sidekick when you list because I wonder if I was shadow banned for listing while posh sidekick was running, are you still listing everyday? @graced188 I was shadow banned twice in 2 days, just started Sidekick 2 days ago. They said it could happen if you listed while they were sharing, so maybe a good thing to turn it off.
Any insight on being shadow-banned as a buyer? I am relatively new to poshmark and have made a few purchases. This time around, I had purchased a couple of items and next thing you know my purchases were cancelled and now I can't purchase anything and receive a message telling me that I can't do it and to contact customer service. I've sent a couple of emails but have received no response. Now what?
@@TabsMcCaffrey I get it. It’s just very frustrating to trip the system somehow without receiving any sort of explanation. But they also gotta protect their users from fraud, and a few people being unable to use their accounts for a couple days probably pales in comparison to damages caused by scammers. I cooled off after my original comment and after contacting support to get my account back. Turns out I did nothing wrong 🤷 Oh well. Either way, your video was very informative and useful!
So totally off subject, but does anyone else find it totally offensive when someone "declines" your offer? I keep having certain people decline some of my lowest offers but they don't unlike the item or even counter. It's like why?!! I've resorted to just blocking them now. Is it just me being overly and unnecessarily offended? 😂😂
Haha don’t take it personally! Truly. Ppl decline my offers every single day. Everyone communicates on posh in different ways. I always say dont look back, keep looking forward.
I wouldn’t say offended, but maybe annoyed. Don’t bother liking an item if you really aren’t interested. And don’t offer more than half off. I completely ignore those offers.
I don’t fear any of this. Posh wants you to make sales. They jail me sometimes for only like an hour. Used to be up to 24. Last time I felt like I was shadow banned or turned off, the hubs told me to just do nothing. When I do nothing extra other than run my apps a little, suddenly full price purchases. No more hustling for me. If someone wants to bundle, I let them bundle and send me an offer or I combine their individual offers for them if they ask for an offer. 😂 I’m a little burned out right now, and trying to figure out if I should stop running sidekick posh shows. I get stronger sales on Mercari, so thinking I’ll shift focus. I don’t want those types of buyers swarming my closet.
I had a claim of inauthentic on a cheap Amazon laptop bag. Got it last year to gift, forgot in my closet and found it in nov. It was totally unopened so I didnt actually know what it looked like. I rescanned the barcode, used the Amazon pic and description sold it half price with all that in the description. Turns out it was cheap....i didnt make one sale until it was settled.
This person made claims of it doesn't have any leather on it. With a picture of the leather on the bag They were taking these tiny pictures. It was so dumb and I told them if you just don't like it that's fine but i'm not gonna take the inauthentic claim. Posh said they couldn't verify the material so they settled it. 🙄

Something I recently have been having issues with are moderator removed listings. These are items that seemingly go against Posh's rules but it's really not clear as to what exactly could lead to this moderator removed listing. I posted an ergobaby carrier and that was removed and I also listed a never used kids helmet and elbow/knee protection set and that was removed too. Meanwhile there are ergo baby carriers availble for purchase on Posh. Had anyone experinced this as well??
Two days ago I had one seller shared one pair of shoes more than 340 times in less than 5 minutes, same shoes over and over 😮I don’t know what was the purpose of this
They may also be doing that for self promotion so their item is constantly at the top of search. I see that a lot when I share from the feed, the same item over and over again. I read that you could go into Posh jail for that, especially if you share it to parties. @@TabsMcCaffrey
Recently, my account was frozen for a full day. I have no idea why. I woke up one morning to two sales. In the area, where there is usually a shipping label, there was a message that said Poshmark needed to verify my identity for security reasons. I sent them what they needed, and it still said they could not verify me. I have been a Posh seller for over 3 years. I have no idea what I did or why they restricted my account. I finally got out of jail, but since then, it's been dead on Posh. Am I still being monitored, and why would Posh do such a thing and not tell you what you did or why they targeted you?
I don’t think so, but I do think when they restrict your acct it take a abit to counter back. I was restricted as well last wk for tax info. Even though I did it last yr… I don’t know, some days I think do they actually do the throttle back stuff???
I understand the things you are saying about over following and over sharing. But in the rules of poshmark, it says automation is not allowed. No Bots. So how does everyone get around that?
In my experience posh doesn’t care. Use responsibly. I think to provide the activity to your closet that posh has set in their algorithm is difficult if you have quite a few items and running a side business or full business. But the choice is yours. I will tell you most ppl running a business use automation tools.
So two things have happened to me lately. Someone has “mentioned” my closet in their show,. That has happened a number of times. And then today a new one. Someone “added one of my listings to their show and I should enter my details” ?WTF? I did not authorize that. I have not responded in any way but wonder if that is allowed or should I report them to PM
Yes it a feature posh allows!!! Crazy right?? Just don’t reply when they send you the auction notification. I think that’s extremely spammy. Block them.
Hello! Tabs, talking about counterfeits? I am a reseller, too, and I bought this pair of FRYE DYLAN slip-on shoes at Goodwill and sold them on Poshmark. The buyer requested a return because they claimed it was "not as described” and “not authentic,” I provided Poshmark the pictures of the inside of the shoes under the vamp, which shows the printed style and serial number. I know they are real because the stitching lines up, and the insole logo is evident and printed. The printed logo on the leather tag attached to the back of the shoes is firmly embossed. They are requesting a receipt, but they are secondhand from Goodwill. Any thoughts? What else can be done to prove the authenticity of these shoes? Thank you
Others have been in your spot. Nothing can be done. If you sell high end stuff you either take risk or have them authenticated. Personally accept return and sell again to avoid buyer dmaging. Also double check the return that they didnt do a swap. I've heard of that happening too.
Theres a person i will soon block as they keep trying to purchase but keep getting notice that their payment is inadequate. Im wondering if poshmark will take action.
What can I do about people who want me to cancel right after they order? It’s happened several times recently. I feel the slow down every time, regardless of the cancellations being no fault of mine. Is there a way around it?
I'm not convinced they affect traction. I cancel a couple sales a wk. But it is your prefernece. You could mark buyer will bundle with other, and. that puts it on them.
How do you know if you’ve been shadow banned? I use the sidekick automated silent show function and it seems when I use it too much my closet goes dead. How do I know if the shows are resulting in a shadow ban ?
When you can’t do any actions in your closet. I would set the safety feature on sidekick. I’ve never had an issue with sidekick doing too much. Follow their instructions app recommendations.
Sidekick had a glitch in the app and shared my closet all night long without any safety pauses-my closet was dead for quite a while after that. I personally tried their app for months but unfortunately, I had several issues, so I had to find something else.
I've never been shadow banned, had never even heard of it. btw, i never follow anyone, not even ambassador status (even after 5 years on the platform) and have never noticed a slowdown in my sales. Do ppl really share other ppl's closets anymore? didn't realize it was still a thing, why does anyone waste their time, lol.. i rarely get notifications of live sales going on, nor do i get spammed much. HOW do we report keyword abusers?? i'm so down with that
