I have sooooo many supplies and love watching you and Laurel 'using what you have'. I'm a patreon of one creator who used to produce fabulous videos, however now just shows what a company has released and how great they are. Huge turn off for me, and this month is the last I'll support their channel. I get that people need to earn a living but not by continually hawking their wares to a group of watchers who may also be having a hard time financially. Every other week is often enough. Most people follow a lot of things on RU-vid, with different schedules. I did purchase some of your stamps and dies, etc. after watching videos and downloading pdfs.

Like it's not hard enough to keep putting out great content on RU-vid - there's so much other behind the scenes algorithm and other issues for content creators to deal with. Even with blurring your baby's face, we can tell how CUTE he is! 💙💙💙

This is a thing for sure. I hadn’t watched crafting videos in a minute and I clicked on one by a new creator I’d never watched before. All the sudden my favorite crafters I’m subscribed to started showing up again.

Ooooo boy! I have missed a lot of videos recently because I didn’t know Justine had her baby. Congratulations 🍾🎊🎉 I actually subscribe to so many people that I’m not surprised that some creators videos do not show up in my feed. And I’ve been trying not to watch videos of techniques I already know how to do, which honestly sometimes feels like all of them. I’ve been paper crafting since the late 80s so it’s not weird that very little is new to me. On the other hand, I like supporting RU-vidrs that I just like. And then I do sometimes watch videos about paper crafting that I already know how to do. It’s a dilemma.

Always interesting to hear about the ins & outs of RU-vid! Most of us have no idea...

Thank you! I do get your newsletter. I find that watching all the various creators I want to watch is getting overwhelming and one every 2 weeks is great in my book. I cook, bake, make cards, create in cold porcelain, air-crete, resin, paper clay, etc. and I cannot watch every single video of every creator as I would like...sometimes "less really is more"! Thank you and enjoy your little one! I'm planning on being there tomorrow for the live, won't be there on Saturday (my day of worship) may be there on Sunday, but family is planning an outing so we'll see, but I hope to learn a lot. The bingo sounds fun, can't afford to join but anyway, I thank you. (I'm in my wedding dress on Zoom, maybe you saw me, but with over 400 there, maybe not, lol.) Blessings to you!

One thing regarding links in the video description - you may have noticed that if you right-click on it, the link is very, very long and starts with "ru-vid.com?event=video_description". This means that even if you copy-paste that into a new browser tab or window, youtube will still know that you have clicked it. But if you select the link with your mouse and copy the link - as if it was a word - then the link is tidy and youtube doesn't add its mess.

When I first saw the title of your video, I was worried that you might have to stop making videos for some reason. But I'm relieved to hear that's not the case. Your videos bring me so much joy, especially when you feature your baby. It's wonderful to see the happiness you bring through your creations. I had no idea that AI has such a big impact on social media and video searches. It totally makes sense now. I remember when I was trying to find videos on how to cut double-sided adhesive sheets/foam sheets, and I couldn't find what I needed, so I just gave up. It can be frustrating. I want to mention that I don't always replicate the projects you create in your videos. Instead, I often take inspiration from the techniques you use. I struggle keeping videos I want to see and getting content that isn’t 7 years old coming up in my feed. It’s so annoying to have to go from creator to creator to find what i want because there are so many that someone always gets lost in the mix and I mix lots of things Id love very much to see! Or if I watch 1 single video of something different suddenly my feed is flooded by that and a new tab shows up to replace my cardmaking tab which i use daily multiple times a day

I for one for social media overload was my challenge. I was getting e mails everyday. Now that I know how to turn off the you tube e mails I can resubscribe. I originally unsubscribed about 2 yrs ago a bulk, I had so many subscriptions . Learning tech while consuming is taxing . I even deleted Tictok because I don’t have the time with my daughter’s care needs and nurses are reg no shows. So much inspiration on all different platforms. Im so happy you’re not going anywhere. Great content, always grateful to receive inspiration.

Glad you mentioned right clicking to open in a new tab! I do this all the time anyway b/c youtube resets my home items everytime I would left click, so to avoid it constantly resetting, I simply right click to open in new tab. Problem solved. Another tip is what I do: check my subscriber listing everyday. All the new videos come up in a list. Along the left hand side, anyone with a new video has a blue dot.

I'm glad you've shared this, because I have noticed this and feel that it makes my feed less interesting. It's very similar to what used to happen on twitter after they made some changes, and I'd have to go right to a person's page to see their posts bc they weren't showing up.

I frequently get “suggestions” that are a year or more old. I’ve started going to my subscriptions to see what YT isn’t showing me.

It is a real shame we have to outwit the ai/ algorithms. RU-vid is going to put itself out of existence ! It shouldn’t be this hard to create and or watch videos!

If on a tablet or phone, there’s no right-click since there’s no mouse. But you can do the equivalent. When you tap on “more” and want to use a link Justine or anyone else provides, do a long press on the link, not a tap. That will copy the link in hour [invisible] clipboard, and when you’re done watching the youtube video, open a new tab/page just like you always do to go to any website, 😢tap in the browser window and select paste (or paste and go). This may vary between apple and android or other operating systems, but that’s often how it works. And maybe someone can explain this more clearly than I just did on my four hours of sleep!

I have subscribed to the creators I want to watch and every time someone from that list posts a video, I get a notification - and I check these regularly. - I don‘t feel I ever missed a video I want to watch. But that may be because I am not of a scrolling generation and always watch my videos on the same device 🤷‍♀️
