For someone currently combining my 20 years worth of gear collection into my first wet/dry/wet rig this has been a great help! I’m well on my way to that “polished studio guitar tone” and it’s really exciting and also massively inspiring. In particular the line diagrams from vertex and Goodwood have been incredibly helpful in piecing the puzzle together for me. Thank you! This video couldn’t have come at a better time!

After creating my big board with PBC10 I can’t imagine going back to a normal series board. Line mixing on a pedalboard just makes so much sense for the guitar world. My second compact setup is series and although it is pretty great since the delay/verb is the Collider, I think this duophony will Be a great addition to really bring the board to life. You guys hit the nail on the head with this overview.

Im trying to wrap my head around mixers like the duophony that are able to parallel blend TWO different signal paths together and then blend THAT mix back into the original signal - versus the more traditional blender that can parallel mix one signal in with the original.

I only use mono parallel mixing and really like the Xotic Effects X Blender… phase correction, onboard eq, can change the mix on the fly with your foot… quality pedal.

The Duophony looks amazing. I hope they can add a firmware update to put hi and lo pass filters. The KMA Tyler Deluxe does this! I just want the digital features of the Duophony.

If you want to expand your listener base may I kindly suggest having a unit converter open and providing some cm or mm numbers when talking about sizes? This is the one thing I always wish for as a European listener.

I have the Jet Pedals Red Sea to do parallel routing. It’s pretty awesome and will do wet dry wet, but I’ve never been into that and prefer just running in stereo

i used a rane SM26 mixer in a WDW rack with a line 6 mod pro, a line 6 echo pro and a roland RSP550. nothing sounds like a WDW rig with time based stuff in parallel.

I like the Lehle Parallel SW II. Their stuff is built so solid and sounds great. Can’t do a lot of real time blending though with the smaller size of the knobs.

Checking the lehle out now! currently setting up my first wet/dry/wet rig and as cool as the duapheny looks im pretty sure it’s a bit overkill for what I need

@@kernowcalli3312 yeah it’s great. Not a ton of extra features but it can do mono and stereo blending and has input and output gain adjustment. Also the switch is the nice soft Lehle type.

Just to be clear I have a ua golden reverb and a keeley halo I’m looking to mix in stereo parallel..can the lehle do that?

Can you use hx stomp fx loop for this? So if we use the case of Uafx Ruby and Dream, we can use Y splitter into ruby and dream (parralel) and Return on L and R on hx stomp. Then we put the L block and R block in parralel, and we can mix it by playing with the volume output on L and R block. Would this count as parralel mixing? On one of the block, hx stomp can even switch the polarity. What do you think?

Vertex, try using a univibe pedal connected in a 4 cable method. What I mean is the univibe is connected in front of the amplifier as well as in the amplifiers effect loop at the same time. This mixer pedal is the only way I would use a univibe pedal to mix in the dry/wet in front of the amp and also dry/wet the effects loop. Try making a video lesson doing this set up. You can make the univibe get those Albert king phaser squeals bending notes the harmonics are sitting behind the notes and the mixer ratio has to be dialed in correctly

@@VertexEffectsInc the audition loop should have box should have a ground lift the other companies that make additional loot boxes have a ground lift and an isolation transformer for the isolation of sin and return jacks

@@VertexEffectsInc Goodwood Audio audition loop ports have an isolation transformer and ground lifting options for guitar amplifiers effects loop, ground loop issues. I wouldn't be LOL about it when I have done this 4 wire setup using one univibe pedal and there are no ground loops when using the correct audio audition box that has isolation transformers and a ground lift switch.

@@VertexEffectsInc I'm not sure if Vertex Audition loop box uses isolation transformers for the audition loop ports or has a ground lift. Another thing to try on fender amplifiers is plugging your guitar into the normal channels input#1 and taking the effects loop send which you connect the SEND to the TREMOLO channels input#1. You're using the fender amps normal channel as a preamp pedal when using the effects loop send to be connected to the tremolo channel input port. You might need to use an audition loop with an isolation transformers to ground lift to prevent ground looping issues. Try to make a video lesson about it to learn from.

I need a lil mixer but I have two DIR output XLR coming from my dual amp pedal. Is there a mixer I can go into with XLR and come out with one summed XLR???

Hey Mason, is the GFI Duophony able to give one pedal the pre/post feature? That is adding loops to it in a way that it could be switched between two different places in the signal chain (like the Wampler Terraform, for example). Would this be possible?

I think it was intended to be a jumping off point for parallel mixing, it's certainly not as sophisticated as the Musicom or the Duophony.

I love the Musicom Parallelizer, which I purchased from the Guitar Sanctuary. I was surprised at its compactness--the pedal seems much bigger in photos. It easily fits easily on my acoustic fingerstyle guitar pedalboard. I mix in the Boss OC-5 (low octave) Strymon Cloudburst pad and Digitech Mosaic 12-string; these sounds can be added and removed so easily. And these effects don't muck with my core sound.

You mentioned in the live chat that it is possible to adjust the in/out levels on Strymon pedals in their software but I can't for the life of me find it in Nixie. Can you tell me where I will find this setting please?

There is a level (or Boost) that you can adjust +/- a certain dB level I think you can adjust right on the face in globals.

Braxel/Vertex..My Snarling Dog way will sometimes activate either the wah, fuzz or both when I just touch the guitar and get a static electricity pop..same issue? What can I do?

@@VertexEffectsInc Yes, it's the first in the chain so the only one that does this. I get a small zap of static electricity but the humidity in the studio is 30%. Only happens occasionally .
