And all the arguments about how useful, functional, and comfortable it is are quite weak. Nobody in their life will ever want to keep the cable attached to the phone; it doesn't allow you to put it in your pocket, it's uncomfortable to hold in your hand, and with a little friction, it falls off. Attaching it to the wallet is a joke. If you carry it in a bag with other equipment, it will probably end up misaligning and loosening. With conventional cables, you can also adjust the loop size, wear it on your wrist, and bundle them into a single loop, although nobody does that in real life either.

Guys it´s not about "wearing out" a cable, what´s wrong with you all? It´s about handling and making life easier.

I would imagine you are probably in the minority. In recent times, I have been buying quite expensive braided cables but when I used to use the white Apple cables they did tend to fail at the connector/cable connection even though I was quite careful in not inducing too acute an angle. Maybe they were stressed unknowingly when carrying in a pocket.

I’ve had a few of the earlier lightning cables go bad at the plug, and a few of the off brand cables separate in the cable housing. That said, I’ve never had an Anker or newer braided Apple cable go bad. However I’ve had these newer cables for far less time than any of the previously mentioned plastic cables.
