Idk if you guys are marriage counselors but i think you would be great at it. As a 16 year old highschool boy all my life i believed in waiting for a right moment to commit, never commit too early, not too late either. Ive always believed that God should be first in a relationship. Idk if this video is truly about relationship advice but if it is i believe God should be first. Thats why a lot of other relationships fail
So after subscribing to y’all a few months ago & watching Heather Lindsey channel as well...I had a convicted heart. I quit drinking cus it always led to drunk dialing which led to sex. So 9/16/19 I vowed to quit drinking, to court vs date & to wait until marriage to kiss/have sex. I have been on that path ever since & actually have no desire to even go back to my old sinful ways. I am aiming for marriage & kids so I just decided I need to pick up Godly woman, Godly wife & Godly mama traits before God blesses me with those actual titles. I couldn’t be happier & more at peace though!

I was already deciding to add no kissing before marriage onto my boundaries. After watching your video, it just confirmed that it is very possible for a man to honor that request because they love God that much. Helps me keep my standards high, and assures me that I'm not crazy for having them that high.

I really needed this video!🙌 The saying: “How far can we go until it is sin...” is so true! We live in a society where certain things aren’t right! I’ve set n boundary this week to stay off of Instagram because it leads to temptation. I’d find myself stalking boys on Instagram and not praying to God about my love life. So I just had to say no to Instagram... Even if I just wanted to see whats going on... Temptations are real. The faster we say no, the better!🙌 This is something I’ve been struggling with: temptation. Blessings! ♥️x

I had the same issue (stalking). I strongly suggest ridding social media altogether. I deleted FB, IG & SC a year ago & have been at peace ever since. Stay strong!
Girl god bless you and your walk! Social media can really be a gate to temptation and it takes much discipline to keep your eyes away from the things that may lead to something or obsessive behavior which is also unhealthy or almost as an idol. I understand. God bless you girl. Keep it up ❤️
I’m convinced God sent me to this channel for a reason. I’m in the military and after many failed relationships I’ve given up on the idea of marriage being for me or that God even heard my plea for a wife. After listening to your story, I couldn’t help but to ball my eyes out. Listening to both of your testimonies and realized I shared similar experiences has given me hope. I look forward to future videos and I’m now praying again. Praying for God to clean the areas of my life needing attention and praying for a clearer vision of what he has in store for me.
I'll pray for you brother. Being in the military, there's many temptations around and without boundaries, you are bound to fall into the trap of drunkenness, lust, adultery etc. I've been in for almost 8 years and recently became saved. Its been easier than I thought to set boundaries with my battles. You can do it. Pray and communicate with God daily, He will answer.
what stuck out to me the most is the fact of becoming attached when you are physical. It is very true. Just got out of a 6 year relationship that was NOT good for me. I felt soo much guilt wanting to break up that I went a year with anxiety of choosing what I know God wants and the guilt I felt for wanting to break up. Tough times. NOT doing that again. Definitely going to wait next time around
My boyfriend and I used to be in an old relationship where we fell into sin multiple times and it almost destroyed our relationship with God and with each other. But after separating and letting God do some inner healing work, by His grace, He brought us back together but this time around we are doing things differently. We decided to wait till marriage to kiss and are currently on our 2nd day fast from each other. I really have to thank Mel & Ronnie for setting the model for a Godly Dating Couple 🙏🏻

Thank you guys for posting this video! I can't wait for the next. I am a single mom of 2. Never been married. Clearly I crossed all kinds of lines. I have a desire to be married someday, but I often count myself out because I already have kids. That actually caused me to stay in an unhealthy relationship way longer than I needed to. I would love to learn how to set boundaries for myself. I so desperately want to live a life that's pleasing to God. I want my children to see a healthy marriage with God being the focus. i feel you so much on the marriage thing with kids. i have a 2 year old son and wanting to be with a christian man and waiting for marriage when i already have a kid just seems like something that will never happen. but i have faith
You guys are the cutest couple ever. Yes, my husband and I have boundaries. We agreed to never ride in a car with the opposite sex without each other. Aside from parents and family, of course. It's just something we think shows respect for each other and will put a stop to any foothold the enemy will try and get. And Amen on the drinking! My husband and I stopped drinking because it caused problems so we don't go to bars or in any situation that would cause us both to stumble. I agree!!!! And I grew SO much closer to God once I stopped drinking. Some amazing things happened when I stopped. I did my very first RU-vid video about it of anyone wants to watch.

I am a Born Again Christian. Just last year and still learning a lot. I came across a friend, while we were talking. She said, "why do we need to please God? If He gives us freedom, why do we need to please Him and set boundaries?" And I didn't know what to say except. "It's just like going into someone else's house. They have rules to their home. If you want to go to their house, you follow the rules. So if you want to go to heaven, you obey God's rules." And I don't even know if that was right to say.
Hello friend! Love your heart for the Lord and we would agree with you. Yes the Lord sets us free, but it’s the power of sin that we are free from. Not free to just do as we please. When we are Christians, we lay down our life to follow Him and His ways. In the Bible, Jesus says “if you love Me, you will obey Me.” And the Spirit that He gives us, leads us into all truth and conforms us into His image. Boundaries are a way of keeping ourselves from sin and temptation. The Bible says we are a temple of the Holy Spirit, so of course we want to keep ourselves pure and holy as He is. The thing people get messed up with is this: we obey God because we are loved by Him already, freely because of the cross, and this is our way to love Him in return. We don’t have to obey Him to “earn” His love or salvation. Does that make sense? We are justified by faith, but we have to choose to now stay in His love and let His love sanctify us. And He delights in us when we seek to please Him by the way we live our lives. And if we fall but repent, He picks us right back up to try again and loves that we keep getting up. Hope that helps!

I just want to say thank God and you for making this RU-vid channel and for bringing you together in such a beautiful way. Not many people talk about the importance of boundaries in-depth, but it is so crucial. It never clicked for me how quickly you can form an emotional connection to someone and that it is wrong( you know when it's wrong). When you are pursuing God and you want to know Him, there should be nothing or anyone between you two. Our thoughts and everything belongs to Him. It was encouraging, convicting, and refreshing to hear that.
Since coming back to God, I have said the next man I am with will be my husband and he will be the next man i sleep with. However you guys showed me in this video i need to change my mindset/boundaries. So thank you so much Ronnie and Mel ❤❤❤

I have lived my life that way too, where when my friends would say, "how far can we get without crossing the line for sin (and this can be in any area not just dating) I would say why not say instead, lets be different and draw a line way away and seek to be more God honoring." Ronnie and Mel, loving this series! This would have been helpful for me when I was single. I really hope you come out with a video (or two) for us married couples! Relationships and living with another person is not easy! We all have our own beliefs and boundaries and something feeling do get hurt! As a young Christian I was not taught these things in church. I led a very bad life and made bad decisions because of it. So as a mother of 4 daughters this is so important to me. My daughter is 20 years old and really wants to follow God and do marriage correctly. She recently showed interest in courting a young man in pursuit of marriage. You guys videos started showing up on my time line again out of nowhere. I take it as a sign from God. Thank you for giving people guidance in this area. I know am more equipped to help my daughters walk this path
I have heard of people putting up crazy boundaries before and laughed. Why, i never understood it or wanted to be the weirder drawing lines. And secretly i never thought i was worth much and putting up boundaries would run everyone off. Learning my worth in the lord and wanting a marriage like yours makes me realize I cant just pray for the Godly husband without practicing and becoming a Godly woman first. Recently i have fallen and felt ashamed by todays standards it was nothing bad but i want to live for christ and set boundaries now before they will be needed. Thank you for your ministry. I use to view "talking" to guys and dating as the world sees it. I refuse to revert back to my old ways and now would only be open to a relationship as a courtship rather than just "hanging out" with a boy. I liked what you both said about waiting until marriage for even kissing because of your past mistakes. I use to feel that was too extreme, but now realize you can never be too pure, especially when temptation is so simple. I am curious to watch the next video and see how Ronnie reacted to Mel setting that boundary. I feel like it is next to impossible for men (and women) these days to be able to live up to that standard. It worries me a man would run in the opposite direction if I told him that.

The feeling that you get from kissing leads to your emotional connection and activates your heart and feeling rather than your rationality therefore you lose control and do what you shouldn't have done!

What stroke me the most is "Not awaken love" and "Marriage is a sober decision". This is gold for my ears! ...but one question remains: How to handle emotions when you have almost no to few relationship experiences in order to not awaken love and take a sober decision? +Audrey Caron hi sis! Great question! I think the key is just to always have our emotions submitted to His leadership. It’s about not letting our emotions take the reigns of our life and make our decisions for us. And “not awakening love” is guarding our heart in such a way that we don’t fully give it to someone and fully open it up until we are under the protective covering of covenant in marriage. We always will have feelings, it’s just about surrendering them to Him! Hope that helps 😊 bless you!
Yous gave good advice. And to be honest yeah I grown up in the faith heard many times with relationship and dating should be that way. I dated twice in my life but knew I belong to Jesus never have I let temptation of the guys in my first relationship to get me in the bed. Of course he wasn't a Christian he was taking me away from God and church. And the Holy spirit just realized he wasnt the right one. Same with my second he was a gentleman but he respect my boundaries he also wasn't the right one. I being patience in God's time in the right time for the right relationship.
Thanks for this Godly content that is based in the word, which is rare to find these days. Thanks for sharing your testimonies. I definitely agree that all we do must stem from a heart of love for God and to honor Him in all our ways, not merely following a set of laws. When I was a teenager, I watched a Hallmark movie called Love's Enduring Love. Growing up in church, we were all taught not to have sex until marriage. However the protagonist in the movie had higher standards and she didn't want to kiss anyone who wouldn't be her husband. I am so glad I happened to come across that movie as it has helped me shape my own boundaries in relationships.

Your videos on boundaries (first time ever seeing you two) has helped me find so much clarity. I have been growing more with God and trying to strength my relationship with Him and my boyfriend and become pure. These videos are EXTREMELY helpful in understanding more of why it is important to do or not do certain things. If you don’t mind, I would like to hear your thoughts on premarital masturbation for both men and women. Is it possible to not have any stimulation in that way until marriage for both sexes?

+Anna Dada oh that’s an interesting topic. Not sure we know a whole lot haha but I would imagine fighting with desires in marriage would be the same outside of it. Temptations don’t go away just cause you’re married. So we should put boundaries in our life that would guard us from being tempted with anything outside our marriage. Sometimes it’s even covering other people’s marriages and thinking the grass in greener on the other side. So whatever we need to do to guard ourself against those thoughts, I say do it! Bless you!
Wait. I use to be a Christain. But I know people who are not Christians that have lasted a long time and they weren’t Christain. Because they followed there heart and emotions and everything’s good? Plus if I was to be a Christain and want a wife does that mean I need to find a Christain wife through dating apps or church groups ?
Christianity is not like other religions and certainly is not about rules and regulations! All Jesus wants from us is to get to eternal life and live our lives the best way possible!

Tell him again and if he doesn’t respect your boundaries then tell him how serious you are and that you will not speak to him if he doesn’t respect you. He is choosing to be controlled by the flesh and you can be tempted too and take my word for it from experience afterwards if you give in to him you will hate yourself and resent him and feel manipulated. Enforce your boundaries and if he doesn’t listen and doesn’t want to work on it he is not meant for you and will take advantage of you or manipulate you in the future
