Every single day in my office, I get phone calls from parents, players, coaches, and business leaders. There's a very common theme when they call: the game, or whatever arena in which they are competing, has suddenly become punishing. They're lost, struggling, or confused as to why the game or other competitive environments that they have loved for so long, are all of the sudden becoming a burden.
It's not just that it has become hard. It has become unrelenting. Everything that they do during the course of the day, every practice they go to, and every competition leaves them with a bad taste in their mouth. They feel like their calling is now a burden, and they've lost who they are. It was so common that I decided to write a book about it. Break Free From Suckville is that book. The reason I wrote it was because I felt like we needed to explore a little more deeply as to why our athletes and competitors get in that position.

I am 63 years old , always battled confidence problems, always second guessing myself in everything. I teach golf and I love teaching but i am doing it part time now. I have a full time job that don't hate but have no passion for. I am struggling with the idea of teaching full time , yes health benefits is a big factor. I believe that if I was teaching everyday suckville would be in he rear view mirror! Reading this book to help guide me. Thanks!

I was a junior golfer and a decent one. I had a bad coach and lost my love for the game. I found it back and then had two major surgeries on my legs. I lost a lot of distance and struggled to walk for years. I would play golf a couple times a year and still play decent without even trying. Had a flawed swing but not my abilities. I could Hit it well and got up and down from everywhere. In 2015-2016 I decided to try again. When I did the wheels fell off. Went from being the best putter I knew, to missing everything. I went from a decent ball striker to not consistent. I have put a lot of time effort and money into bettering my game. I have had moments of great play. But every time I got play, I find a feel, it doesn’t work the next day. Then I spend so much time trying to refigure it out, that I have little confidence. Losing the mental battle with playing golf simple and fun again. I want to play great again. I’m tired of losing to people I know I’m better then. I’ll be checking out your book
