I loved this game too as well. Visuals are amazing. Gosh, these landscapes... Majestic... My jaw literally dropped when characters arrived to the city. Gameplay with spiritual/haunted enemies requiring using specific field is such a fresh idea for the genre. Story. It MUST be expanded. Such an underrated masterpiece. GotY 2022 for me too, for sure. (I played Elden ring too. It was my GotY before Soulstice.)
due to how saturated the market is with soulslikes and other slower paced gameplay systems, seeing this old school type of combat still being made nowadays makes me very happy and gives me hope that gaming isn't a complete lost cause We can always use some more stylish action games in the vein of Devil May Cry and other PS2 era games Character action games are finally coming back, i'm all up for the hack n slash renaissance
Finished the game today, loved the story, loved the difficulty, loved all the monster design, loved the music and my god that last stage before the final boss was such a blast that and the elevator. I saw some people complain about the camera, the fights being messy and the art or that the stages look too similar throughout the game and honestly the camera is a given but the fights are not messy when you get good at the game, as for the stages looking all the same I don't know what they smoked because the only ones where you could say that are the ones at the beginning on the bridge and it's like it makes sense they look the same it's a bridge, you don't do half the bridge a certain design and then change it. Overall, great game, not the type I usually play bit I was glad I did.
Of course its the girl that voiced Quiet , now this game got even better knowing that Soon as i got that chain whip i was like 😍 God of War baby!! You forgot to show Beserk mode
I looked for this game everywhere and I had to resort to Amazon and it arrived today. I absolutely love this game!!! I’m still in the early stages but I’m hooked.
Just finished it. Unfortunately the game wasn't that much fun for me. I wasn't fond of the combat system and probably as a result to this i found the enemies extremely annoying to beat. The bosses were an absolute clusterfuck, too long and tanky for their own good, with too much downtime where the only thing you can do is keep dodging because they are invulnerable or out of reach. I only found three of them fun. The story on the other end was actually quite nice. I dig the characters, and the ending actually got me hyped for a sequel.
Thank God Someone saw this game's potential. Thnak u for giving the praise Soulstice needs. I also think this Gamr is amazing not great cause it has. Some flaws but it made me feel like I was playing the godo f war games and I loved it.
I've been playing soulstice it's aton of fun. I didn't even know this game existed before your video a few weeks ago, and I bought it day one, gotta thank you for that I love devil may cry type games. One negative I have is the blue and red enemy mechanic I personally never liked that certain mechanic, I didn't like it in dmc devil may cry, and I'm not fond of it here either. Besides that the game is a total blast 👍.
I didn't mind the red/blue mechanic until the end where the game completely falls apart. Not sure what happened but the last 5 levels of the game are absolutely terrible and rank as on the of worst experiences I've ever had with a game. I didn't understand the ratings of 5 out of 10 until I played these levels.
I couldnt agree more. this game is a total hidden gem. I got it a while back on a fanatical star deal and it totally blew me away from the game play and atmosphere to the lute and brairs relationship the game is just firing on all cylinders. The last time I was this impressed by a game was a plagues tale innocence
It was a lot of fun, not game of the year worthy but it was really enjoyable, it could be best hack and slash of the year but bayonetta 3 haven’t come out yet so I can’t say that yet
They took Berserk and Claymor and gave us something better !! I have started the game a week ago and I can say with certainy that is the best modern game I have ever played. It even made me smile !!! Because Bwiewbs 🤣 And the music ... the music mate !!!
i just ran into this video about the game i never knew about today and yet im kinda questioning why i never saw this on my YT Shorts or anywhere else im debating on to get the game now or hold out on it for a while for the deluxe edition

epic gave it away a few weeks ago and it looks pretty good. the main thing i've seen against this game (and even in these comments) is the camera being sucky
Love the game. This game is what a Berserk or Claymore game should be. And not a musou game as in a certain case. I loved the Art direction and the Athmosphere. The ending reminded me of the Season 1 Calymore Anime ending. There werent as many cutscene as is custom at this Time. But this is also good. I want to „play“ a game and not watch it. Everyone one complaining about the fixed camera angles should take a Look at dmc 1 or the original God of war Games. They top had a fixed camera and it was ok in those cases. Hypocrits😅 But the game is not without its faults. I‘ve Seen a lot of texture pop ins. The combat needs a little refinement to be more fluid (it’s still good though) All that said….I need a Sequel!!!
I just had to delete this from my PS4 after the 3rd Chapter. I'm really, really bad at these kinds of games, and as I've gotten older I'm only worse at them as time goes on. Also, the fixed cameras were stroking me out in the worst way. It's a great game, but not for me personally.
Loved This game! It really is a love letter to claymore and berserk. Its so cool and hype, you Have to try This if you like dmc like games. Just Dont start playing on knight difficulty. Its more fun on easier modes until you get all weapons
Why do so many gaming magazines come to adifferent opinion than you"? I never would have bought this game even for 10€ if I only had the big magazines reviews. BUT: IA German RU-vidr had it in his top 2022 games and also has a similar review than you. I bought it And i totally love it! It really is sad that many gaming magazines only could create the impression that this game is not really good or worth the money. Did they not play it? Or can they only rate games according to current trends? Fixed camera angle? Yes it is great, as you can move throgh the levels much easier. Simple skill tree? Yes, great as every single skill makes a difference that can directly be felt in combat. Only 5 combos and the same for all weapons? Great, so you have more time to enjoy the combat. Thank you for your review and let us hope that we will get a dlc or a sequel!!
I love Solstice as well, despite a bug I'm having. DS4 is crashing it and won't let me play. I reached chapter 8 then took a break and now I can't use my controller any more. DS4 is a third party tool to enable me to use a PS4 controller on PC. If you know of a better one please post it.
Try a 8bitdo usb,, with that u can connect any controller from ps4, ps5, controller to any computer or even the Nintendo switch and I use it to play with my ps4 and ps5 controller on pc and Nintendo switch I highley recommend buying it as it’s only 20 dollars
When I first saw this game on the gameshow I was hyped, berserk mixed with claymore and a hack & slash game I was bloody sold right there. There is a petition on a website called change where someone asked for the continuation of Claymore, if this is something you want please sign it coz I defiantly did. Hopefully with this game people will want a season 2 of Claymore and if you don`t know what that is a highly recommend you watch it.
