We have a house flipping project in Buffalo, New York and was shocked and appalled that the estimate for replacing house siding on a small house was 25,000 like to me that's just ridiculous

I’m in the Capital Region. Shop around… Let the company know what you do. Inform them that as long as the numbers work and they provide quality service that they will have continuous work with you. Things go dead for contractors in Upstate New York due to the extreme weather, if they feel that they will get more work from you nine out of ten times they will work on better numbers. Getting contractors that understand what we do is the toughest part but they are definitely out there. Blessing

@@sakhiyaslife6395 thank you it's so hard to cause my husband's an electrical contractor but we live in California so we're trying to do everything from a distance which is seeming to be way costly ! Thank you for your insight. Yes, those lake freezes have done some serious damage.

@@LenaMMcKee Long distance flips can be difficult but not impossible. Make sure you have someone local that can keep an eye on the work. Good luck on this flip as well as your future projects.

@@Y_Alexandra agreed! But they have to rip off all the old rotten wood siding first, maybe that's where the cost is going up. I don't know. I feel like it's extortionate. I think they think since we're from California they're going to take us to the bank.

I have to ask, do you think alot of the labor for these construction companies are illegals and that's how it is so cheap? I live very north of the border, and to say the least the prices I see on this channel are INSANELY low.

Doesn't necessarily need to be illegal immigrants. There is a large population of non-English speaking immigrants in general that make up the labor force down here in TX. Landscaping, construction, foods services.

@@clh85 It's just some of their pricing completely boggles my mind how they even break even with taxes, workers comp and general liability, overhead, and other costs.
