Why you should avoid cheap fuel injectors

I am straight up amazed that you posted updates for a question on a 6 year old video. Great on you mate.

Good quality healthy injectors would have all delivered an equal amount of fuel into each tube if subject to the same flow test you saw here. The poor quality injectors you see here failed to deliver an equal amount of fuel during the flow test. Good quality injectors will also have an accurate and direct spray pattern to ensure efficiency. You can see one of the poor quality injectors here spraying fuel to the left. It is very important that each injector delivers an equal amount of fuel to each cylinder and that they all have an accurate spray pattern to avoid poor engine performance and misfires.

@@drink15 I actually bought about 10 injectors for my Eldorado and used a electronic tester on them to ensure they work. All 8 were bad in mine, the car sat for years. I paid about $100 vs $700 at the parts store. It works nicely if you are short on cash. Plus if they didn't work I could take them back and get my money back or exchange them. I had to pull them myself though in Florida weather which really sucked lmao, but I walked away with a deal and oem injectors.

Well, for starters, in the V8 they were bought for, two cylinders aren't getting any fuel,.... In a V6, the remaining functional ones would lead to the ECU trying to balance the air/fuel mixture from the exhaust sensor data, leading to three rich and three lean cylinders - at idle, it'd run rough as, and on the freeway at constant load, you'd burn up the lean cylinders. New motor in a couple of months with these.

Exactly. They maybe Chinese. But making such complex parts for a fraction of the price is not easy and has to be respected. People who hate this type of frugal engineering needs to be grow up and not nitpick on finer details.

@@fgordon5575 I never stood for the CCP. I vouch for the skill of the Chinese engineers and that is different from whatever the CCP stands for. I appreciate frugal engineering and there is no better example of that than the Asian economies. The mobile computing revolution of this century was possible only due to those countries efforts to deliver cheap manufacturing so that the common man is not deprived of its benefits. The US went to the moon 50 years ago and still space travel is nowhere democratized. Space technologies will only become accessible when the Chinese firms start mass producing components to lower the price and eventually everyone can start experimenting, just like what happened when the US opened up the GPS satellites for the benefit of everyone. I love engineering in general and that means I can appreciate the genius of Chinese engineers, just like I appreciate the genius of Western engineers. The Western economies banished china from the development of the ISS, but still the Chinese went and built their own space station. Why wouldn't I be in awe of their mastery in engineering? You can have your opinions and I will have mine. The CCP may represent a threat to mankinds freedoms with its policies. But that doesn't mean we have to hate the skill of the rest of the billion plus Chinese population.

@@danalex2991 Frugal engineering means nothing unless proper quality control is involved, and adhered to. These injectors are absolute junk. The reason they are so cheap is because they are obviously not subject to rigorous quality control standards to ensure they meet or exceed the requirements!

@@agpe15 this video is good proof that valves are giving satisfactory performance for the fraction of price you pay premium brands. You may have some reservations regarding giving money to countries ruled by the CCP. But you should know all of those premium brands charge 5 or 10 times being massive corporations taking a big chunk of your savings for a 'premium " experience for a car that you may drive occasionally and casually. For billions of us, we like having the money in our wallets instead of handing over to some crony mega corporations. Don't you get it?? I'd rather buy this and spare one at that at a small price and have the freedom to spend the money I saved on other essential things. The video and the original comment is proof enough that the injectors are satisfactory for a majority of common people around the world.

You need to prepare for something before getting there. You need to learn about it before performing it. I mean, what's the point of getting all of your driving knowledge WHILE driving, when you could learn everything about vehicles before you even get into a vehicle with the intention of driving it? It's just smart to learn everything you are going to and you might come across. Never get caught in a situation that you know nothing of. Learn anything and everything. Never be satisfied. The more you know, the more humble you will be.
