I bought a 370 amp Mechman from D4S four years ago. Absolutely no problems, and continues to charge my lithium batteries like a beast. Mechman hands down.
I bought a 240 for my 2006 Toyota Solara SLE. Got the alt in 3 days on a Friday. They sent the wrong one, got on the phone with them and a new one was sent out Saturday morning. As far as the Mechman is concerned, keeping my voltage steady at 13.2 on full tilt. Gotta love Mechman & D4S
I use Autotech Engineering personally, Mechman did not have anything for my vehicle I even called and talked with them and they told me unfortunately they don't make one for my vehicle year but other than that they were nice about it.
As a big singer alts guy, I have a few friends who run mechman alts and I will say they are also built extremely well. Literally the only 2 brands I would ever recommend
I met people who say they know someone who rebuild alternators to be more powerful from the original ones , is that possible because them MechMans are way bigger compared to the rebuilt ones
I bought a Mechman 250A (Yes 250A not 240A) for my Chevy truck and couldnt be happier, that coupled with a XS Power D3400, the truck loves it!~ The original Delco 145A alternator was on the truck for 19 yrs before being replaced!~ Got my alternator within 2 weeks, an it was rated 210A L & 290A H!~
I go into the warehouse at least twice a month and the people that work there are so friendly and hold real conversations and are genuinely knowledgeable too, I love down 4 sound
Cause they work and I’ve had one of them for about 4 years and it’s just now starting to get weak, it still works it just don’t keep up as good as it used too.. can we send them back to mechman to have them rebuilt or do they offer that..?
Forget mechman my alternator went out twice on my Infiniti the second time was in the warranty period now Iam stuck with it put my stock back on and been running it for years no problem
I've been using "pure power" alternators from Phoenix Arizona. I've bought 3 for 2 different vehicles they always call after the purchase to confirm vehicles, usage, ect. Haven't had any issues and the 2 for the truck are 370s one 240 for the camry. I put over 100 miles on the camry daily thumpin most the time. 3 yrs strong. Mechman is a great alt no doubt about it but over $100 more. Not knockin mechman at all. Put one on my tundra. Just saying there are alternatives,
I have a 2000 bmw 528i with a 120 amp alternator. My audio system is rated at 1500 watts rms “roughly”. 2 amps, 1 1100 rms for subs, and 1 4x 90 for my highs. I don’t have enough alternator! I can’t find any high output bmw alternator online or locally. Do you know anyone who sells high output alternator for bmw or what other options do I have? FYI I want my trunk to be useable
what type of hyundai? you can try power bastards as well. they make custom ones as well as Iraggi. iraggi is a little pricy, but are built to order and have a lifetime warranty.
Guys I just a mechman 400, but I’ve burnt through my original single run of 0gage wire. How many runs of 0gage do I need for an 8,000 watt system. I burnt through the wires for my amp AND the wires in my big 3
I need help, i have a 2022 lexus and nobody appears to offer a HO Alt for this vehicle. If all an alternator does is supply power then why is nobody offering one to buy???? Can i just buy one for a 2018 model and slap it on my 2022?
@@beatsandwestside it was more so their specific diagnosis. I just know when I put it on my car it would only charge everything to 12.8-13.0.. called Mechman, sent it in, they called and told me what the issue was, they fixed it, now since my original comment I’ve installed and works fine!
Hey JP I have a 2000 dodge dakota extended cab, with a 4000 watt kicker amp and currently a skar zvx15 I have blown through 3 stock alternators in less then a year. I have the big 3 in double ott. I haven't even hooked up my interior amp yet and I want more bass. What size mech man would work best for me?
I got a 2018 GMC Sierra and got the MM 370 amp. But you gotta get it regulated bc it will mess up. Thats what happened to me. Sent it to MM and they fixed it
@@cuh_2023 na, it was somethin else. I had bought it from D4S and somehow it fried after 2 months of usage. Called MM and they had me sent it back and they fixed it and regulated it. Went from a 2 pin to one pin. Im not too sure how it works. My installer did everything lol
Well thanks just dont wanns start a fire. Im only running 1000 watt amp to some jl audio 10tw3d8 subs not even turned up as far as i can push them but they dim my lights gonna start with big 3 upgrade then move to alternator but might just go with both because i wanna hook more subs up to my amp
Jp, I recently purchased a Mecman 400 Alt from you to run my JP8/JP84 combo with (1) Die Hard platinum AGM as main battery and I recently purchased the DS4 6.0 for the rear. Did I make the correct choice of getting the 400alt?
I just checked your website and Mech mans website and you guys are ripping people off hardcore like 200 US more than them not cool dude. 2004 Dodge ram 1500 5.7 Hemi 240 AMP check it out for yourself you guys are charging 800 US and they are charging 600 US.
