All you said in this video is very interesting! I don’t have adhd but I definitely experience brain fog and I’ve recently tried brain dumping, without knowing I was brain dumping, it just came out naturally, and I felt better later on! And I’m also team of “everything in the same book”, especially in these hobonichis where you can fit a tone of stuff.

Thank you for talking about this. I started just WRITING because I needed to express myself and make sense of my thoughts. Didn’t matter - I had so many scattered and deep thoughts that it needed to go somewhere. I am not worried about having good penmanship. In fact, my writing can be terrible because I don’t want it to be legible for ANYONE to read. 😂

Thank you for this video! I used to find journaling meditative many years ago. Back then I was so depressed that majority of my brain dumps were surrounding my negative thoughts. So when I read it back a few years later, it triggered me into a depressive spiral. Because of that trigger, I avoided my strong urge to journal for the past few years. I’m going to try to push past my fear, with the goal of brain dumping for meditation and filling up space in my hobo cousin.

This randomly popped up in my recommended videos, but I'm so happy to find someone who doesn't use a ton of different notebooks XD I have one notebook that I usually fill up between one to three months because all my random stuff goes into it instead of different journals that I have to figure out how to organize and that just makes me more anxious and stressed. Also, did I peek something about Zenon in there????

Yes! Zenon was an icon✨ Should I make a spread on her?? 🤔

I agree with you, most of the writing we do on our books is brain dumping, or in other words, stream of consciousness, and I also do it everywhere, even if all I have is a paper napkin. Its a compulsion. I think of my books as a place to write messy thoughts in neat layouts. For me is a way to slow down my bipolar brain when im in a state of mania and get excited for something when I cant do much in a more depressive state.

That's a great way to put it too -- slowing down your brain, esp if you're dealing with mental health!
