Why You Should Buy a 993 Porsche (THE GREATEST 911) 

Had my ‘98 993 C2S since December 1997. It’s a great driver, sounds fantastic and after 70,000 miles, it still makes me smile every time I drive it.

So true, 100% on so many levels. I was finally able to buy a ‘97 Porsche 911 Carrera C2, coupe, six speed, and I’m confident that I’ll never sell it. But brother mentioned so many legit points and it brings back memories. And the head game is still legit to this very day. 💯

It is the best looking of all of the 911 since the beginning except for the ultra rare 930 slant nose. No other "plain" base model 911 looks as good as a 993. Even the newest 911 keeps going back to the 993 look.

Old, new... what does it matter? The 993 is the best looking Porsche ever made and these widebodies cost way more than a brand new base Carrera already. There is a reason for that.

Awesome video love that car growing up as well whenever I saw it on the road as a kid my eyes would light up! I’m in my early 40s so I also have a deep appreciation for that year make and model of that Porsche.

I agreed 100%, as I just bought a 1998 C2S and it has the build from the factory as you C4S, with only just over 21K on it. The best car I ever bought. And with such low mileage and me just turning 65 I'm going to drive it as much as possible. no garage queen like the last Porsches I had!!

The absolut Last car of the 993 era was a Carrera that Jerry Seinfeld got. It was a 2S with widebody that they offered towards the end of the 993 era earlier it was exclusive to the 4S

As far as 993 gen Porsches go there are quite a few better options than the 4S and I was actually surprised you got one over the other available options... Obviously the Turbo was/is the more high level car, as well as the Carrera RS (than there's the Turbo S that is around a half a million dollars now a days). Than obviously there's the Gt2 and RSR, which are light years ahead of the 4S in which they are literally million dollar cars now and ultra rare. The 4S is actually one of the lower tier models... IMO the optimal 993 is either a Turbo/Turbo S made into a factory Gt2, or get the legendary Nakai San to build a RWB kit for the Turbo/S or Carrera RS. Both these options imo are damn near the best Porsches available for any Porsche, next to the RSR race cars and the 918 + CGT ofc (which RSR's are $300k-$1m+ depending on the gen and crazy rare, and ofc the CGT and 918 are around $1.5m and $2m).
