Why you should buy a bike instead of a bike... 

For practicality, a 100-250cc scooter/light motorcycle is best. Something like a maxi scooter or a super cub. I still prefer to commute by pedal bike though. 😅

Sure a motorcycle is a lot more versatile but considering that nobody has it as the main mode of transportation in the west, a bike is much better. Use it for small trips and exercise while using the car for road trips and shopping. The only thing motorbikes have going for them is fun factor.

I am currently waiting to learn motorcycle hope that I still have interest in bicycles after riding motorcycle 😅

I would get both and the third option the ebike is a great in between. Feeling energetic or want a workout pull the bicycle out. Legs are sore or need to go somewhere far and quick pull out the motorcycle. Need to run errands real quick and beat traffic and get a little workout pull out the ebike. I can go on and on but It's nice having different type of vehicles for different type of jobs.

to me the deciding factors are as follows. Cost, Environment Temperature, Distance and elevation. I live in a high place and I work on downtown Scenario 1: (Work) my current schedule is morning shift it's cool in the morning and EXTREMELY HOT in the afternoon. In my case going to with a pedal bike is too much of a task to do 5x a week, so I will give this one to motorcycle. Scenario 2: I'm just going to get some grocery and shts and yes as you mention you can take bike almost anywhere so I can take a shortcut inside a private subdivision to avoid traffic, so I will give this one to Pedal Bike. you can get a cheap underbone scooter for 1.2k usd in your currency and have it maintained every 3k km for 20$ You can get a bike for 100usd in your currency, replace the brakes with MT200 and use it until it's wheels fall off. Just kidding you need to have maintenance every 3 months or so

I commute with bike everyday. I used to be passionate with motorcycle too. But now I choose bike over motorcycle because of efficiency in a city that mostly have a lot of traffic jam and bad infrastructure for cycling (Jakarta). How many time you will get to 50 km/h in that kind of traffic? Rare. Before hitting 50 kph you will met with, traffic, pedestrian crossing the street without looking, car doing U turn without considering oncoming traffic, another motorcycle speeding on the wrong lane in front of you, etc. Plus, with the emerging of electric motorcycle, I'm not sure about the future of fossil fueled motorcycle. Even the future of electric vehicle is still uncertain as not many country have the natural resource to produce the battery. And the other factor to be sad about is the deterioration of the engine performance.Your legendary superbike wont be finding engine replacement after 30 or 40 years. I imagine they no longer produce engine for that legendary 2 stroke bike that used to be racing in the Suzuka circuit. But it wont be happened with road bike. Hence I choose titanium road bike and put the best part I could buy with my own money and just commute with it.
