Why You Should Buy The Contax TVS 

Thanks for the tip about holding flash button for ten seconds! Now I don’t have to turn off flash every time camera is turned on like with Olympus and other cameras!

Bought it in 2019 at $350 in Japan but the shutter cable broke which is common with this model and the Nipon Camera Repair shop in NYC charges $300 for the piece and $200-$300 for labor... The cost of this is justified because of how likely is the internal cable to break, so I wouldn't think it would go up in price anytime soon.

Interesting, when I bought a T2 new, I looked at the TVS and decided it was too expensive!. How things have changed. I have both now, I have never really got on with the TVS. I don't think that it handles as well as the T2 in terms of the controls, and the lens is slow, and I seem to recall vignettes quite a bit. The flash mode system is a mess as well, the T2 is simpler to operate. I have not used the later revisions.

Are those three screws on the bottom of the camera original? They look rusty.
