This has been a thing for several game versions now. You can theoretically just play physically dominant (but otherwise inept) players in all positions and still perform above or beyond your projected capabilities

I agree, I don't think this is just a "bug" though I've never seen how far we can push it. I don't know if the game doesn't give enough weight to positional familiarity, or its just the case with strikers that finishing doesn't really matter.

OK I just tried this and VVD has 20 goals in december. scores from F, DM, and CB. world player of the year

If you test some data and ask the game developers why Finishing, Off the Ball, and Passing seem to be much less useful than Pace、Acceleration、Agility or some mental attributes. They will only quibble that the factors that affect scoring are complicated, and the a player with 20 finishing wont score 20 times as much as a player with 1finishing. But the reality is that a player with 20 pace can completely blast a player with 1 pace!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣

The game engine is broken, simple as that. Don't even bother with players with great technicality and garbage physicals. Don't bother with scouting focuses. Just go to players in range, and search for players above 15 pace+accel in every position (and add jumping reach for the GKs, CBs and STs), then scout them all.

Pace, Acceleration and Natural Fitness are probably the only 3 attributes you should focus on...I've been playing FM since always and I've had the most succes with super-physical teams no matter what level I played at. It kinda destroys the charm/immersion for me but hey we all know it's addiction.

i mean this is the way the game is going IRL, no? physical freaks with stature AND technique AND pace AND brains are being farmed all over the world. look at american sports, the NBA is simply not for typical human beings

Thanks! I need to wait for the editor to come out so I can set up the test league - so I'll probably start working on it Nov 6 once the game is fully released. Hopefully it shouldn't take me as long this year.
